On Mario & Sonic at the olympic games how the hell am I supposed to unlock all events and circuits? I've done all the missions I can do, but no luck! Anyone have any idea why?

When i borrowed it from my mate i unlocked a few by doing multiplayer loads :>

You have to finish in 1st I think :D
