It's not their president, it's their ex-prime minister - Benazir Bhutto. She was campaigning for votes in light of the Pakistani election on January 8th, where she was shot and then there was a suicide bomb.

No, it's not stupid. She was trying to put over the opinions of the public, rather than having the country stand in fear, so forth. They have every right to trash the place since it's such a big loss for them, I'm sure the same would happen if say David Beckham was assassinated, whatever. There's a difference between just a small amount of unhappiness and a large amount of unhappiness when it comes to a situation like this.

I think she showed extreme bravery still campaigning with that risk. Shows us the kind of person she was, not one to cower and run away.

i'm pritty sure you wouldn't find english football fans trashing the place and setting fire to things if david beckham was assasinated. we would be patient and let the police deal with it.

And then complain in our own homes.

Plus half the UK would be happy that beckam had gone.

That is why in countrys like Pakistan and Iraq you have to have limited democracy, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein had it right. Limited Democracy keeps your country under control. If you have people like Bhutto in power then the country would fall apart as you can see in Iraq.

I doubt it, and they're not moaning like 'children' as it's a grown up situation, the people moaning about reputation on the forum is childish, I fail to see how you can even regard what they're doing as stupid. :S But then again I'm not surprised.

So trashing and seting fire to things is going to solve it is? Thought not. And your arguement about David Beckham is stupid.

Well the one positive source in their country has just been assassinated, they're not really going to sit back and bare it, are they? They don't know better. I don't care if my 'argument' using David Beckham was stupid, I was only using it as an example.

I think iraq is more due to them taking so long for the coutry to get back on it's feet, the insurgency rose so high.

They should have stayed out to be honest.

When Saddam ruled, there were no terrorists. Now Saddam is gone there are terrorists. We have ruined their country.
