Third party fire and theft, you need the cover on theft with a scooter - I know from experience. And no point in getting Fully Comp on a scooter it's far too much

There is no right choice here, since I do think everyone's situation is different. Would you for example pay for fully comp on a car worth £300? probably not, the excess could easily be the value of the car itself. So my logic tells me some kind of third party insurance only is probably best, unless you have money to burn!
Now if the car was valued at £2000, the excess could still be approximately £300, and therefore whether you was at fault or not, having fully comp would be very beneficial as the insurance company would pay for your repairs regardless of who was to blame for any accident.
