Cant you change the way how the debate section works? Like everyone can post a debate? No offence to staff here who post the debates, but they are quite lame and stupid. It whould be good if everyone had a chance of writing one. Um i dont know, like create one thread per week?

Mr.Sam created a thread about precisely this sometime ago, you can take a look through here (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=433461) :).

I've been creating some debates recently and have been looking at members ideas for debates. If you have a debate in mind then it is simple, post it here: http://habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=125798

Once posted there when we come to add a new debate we look through all the posts in that thread and consider ideas for debates. Having one or two debates is much more effective than having large numbers of them. If anyone could post a debate it would get out of hand and there wouldn't be any good debates because there would be so many of them you wouldn't know what to post in. It is much better if you request debates to be added and then we can add a smaller number so they are concentrated on and the debates are better. :) If you don't like the debates then post in that thread explaining what you think would make a good one, as I've said most of the new debates are ones suggested by members.

If everybody could post debates, it would become pointless, because chances are, no debates would stay popular since new ones are constantly being posted.

You can create you own debates by all means in the Discuss Anything forum :).

What about enabling the option where you can post a debate but it won't show up unless a moderator approves it, so only decent ones get through?

 I would respect that argument very much if it wasn't the repetition of the argument that's always brought against us. Instead of attacking Habbox Staff with the standard argument, why not back up your own point? It doesn't really make us want to do it any more when it becomes a "Oh lets talk about how crap the Habbox Staff are because they don't make every change that's suggested."

That being said, this is a fair point. Perhaps we can look into it with the other 100 odd suggestions. These things often take time.

There *is* an ideas thread for you to post in ;) We may look into other ways to allow members to be more involved in creating debates though. I personally like the approve threads way.

If the debates created are crap, then post in the sticky your debate suggestions :).

The debates forum wont make or break the forum.
