What is it? I heard you can play other games with it? I'm not sure.

"Homebrew" is custom games made by third parties, they're not official games, you need a 1.5 PSP or custom firmware in order to play them though, custom firmware lets you play official PSP games for free

Homebrew is not custom games, Homebrew is custom firmware that can run custom games, ports and emulations. Anyways check the Wiki:

Yes it is
Anything user created for the PSP is defined as "homebrew" anything and everything, cutom modifications e.g. radio is homebrew, custom games are homebrew, firmware is homebrew aswell but it's just called custom firmware, when you discuss "homebrew" it's when you're asking for custom games or modifications

But what I was saying was that you need the custom/homebrew firmware first before the custom/homebrew/rips of games, as I stated in my original post.

Be careful to not brick your PSP! If you do you'll need a Pandora battery, or a hardmodded battery!
