What do you think the world will be like in say 1000years?

We have amazing technologiy now, so imagen what the future generation are going to have.

They will more than likely think our gadgets and technoligy were poor and rubbish compared to theres, like we do now about the past:)

Also do you think were alone in the universe? I dont think we are its impossable, there must be somebody else out there!

And if there is, will they ever find there way to earth? How would earth react.

Just some wierd things to think about?

Maybe global warming will turn this planet into a burning ball :P

Or we could have found other planets to live on as well as earth, so earth could be one country in our whole world, split between planets :)

I think we'd have invented a way to live for a lot longer, like 200 years. It'll probably be a **** hole; everyone living in poverty, overcrowded metropolises. The world's population has doubled in the last 50 years... where's it going to be in 1000?
I'd also like to think Teleportation would've been invented and perfected, not timetravel, that's impossible. I also don't think we'd find aliens in that time, nor do I think we'd get far in travelling through Space. I'd say we could've travelled to another planet by then and started a small town.

There's plenty of room left for everyone. I think we'll start expanding to other planets eventually. However I can't say when because every other guess about the future in trh past has been wrong, by now if those predictions were correct we'd all be flying around wearing silver skin tight suits.

I can imagen the world like 'I am Legend', but like many many billions of years into the future.

Or a nukeclear war will wipe the world, there are nukes big enough known to man to wipe out america.

Also timetravel is possable, you just have to travel faster than light;)

I reckon we'll be one hell of a different race to what we are today. What Roboevil said was alot like I was thinking. I don't think we'll travel to far into space , perhaps a few more spacestations?

heh, well i doubt men will ever invent timetravel. if we did that, by now we would have probably seen someone from the future.

this is all interesting, it's a shame we won't be there in a 1000 years' time. i don't think the earth would last that long anyway.

I don't think time travel would excist but I believe in teleportation. They can teleport atoms. Invisibility will be available because atm, it's possible.

What... no? You're joking right? In order to time travel, time and everything would have to be recorded. I don't see how or why.
I doubt we'd of evolved much, we'd probably be a lot taller and more athletic, we seem to be going that way.

I don't know about people becoming more athletic. For each atheletic person, you get about 50 fatties.

timetravel isnt impossible its being looked at for years now, his theory is referring to a cup of coffee where if he spins one way with the spoon and stops it still spins and he refers to something einstein said, he also said you would only be able to go back in time when te machine was invented, so impossible to go back before the machine was invented

or if you want just question and answers: hmm or not find it later cant be assed

Roboevil

It still doesn't make that much sense though. The idea of saying you can only go back as far as when the time machine was made makes a little more sense, but it's still impossible. Especially the theory that speed will make you go back in time. Why would speed turn things backwards? Travelling at the speed of light and more couldn't possibly change that, it would just make you go very fast lol.

The reason I don't believe in time travel is that there is no such thing as time, we're all in the same stasis as we were during the anything that's happened. It is not recorded anywhere, which is why it can't be reversed and re-lived. If someone said you could travel forward in time, I could believe that, as it's different, the vitality of it would be storing or freezing something for hundreds of years later. Which would appear to be time travel, but it's not, as you wouldn't be able to return. It's just chryogenic freezing in different form.

Technically you won't have to wait, you'll die long before anything interesting happens more than likely. Also has anyone seen the film idiocracy? It's a silly film about someone getting preserved for 500years and waking up the smartest man on earth. Technically its not right but you never know - the basics that the film goes on are that all the dumb and uneducated people who have low IQ's all have babies together. Whille those intelligent and higher IQ'd all wait for the 'right time financially' etc. and end up breaking up or dieing and not having any children at all. Then over time there are more lower IQ'd people and everyone becomes dumb :D

Anyway time travel won't be possible. I was thinking about space travel in the future last night, can't remember why. Anyway astranaughts (sp?) undergo severe training just to withstand the g-forces that they will have to face when travelling to the moon. Surely to reach planets/galaxies in the future, the space shuttles would have to go faster and the human body can only withstand so much.

They only have all of that training because Space travel is so modern and primitive (oxymoron... I'm not sure if I can use both those words in the same sentence lol). But whatever, it's in its early stages, and astronauts train for that for all kinds of causes, turbulence, or sya they got hit by an asteroid... I dunno, basically it's for extreme conditions.
Speed isn't an issue for people to travel as you're inside an air-contained shuttle. It makes no difference how fast you go. I know that the general view during the 18th century is that if you travelled faster than 100 mph you'd be instantly killed lol; from what?

To be honest, the technology we have now is incredible but because it isnt available for public use yet, everyone just looks at stuff like computers and wireless networks as the pinnacle.
In about 60 years, id say the technology will blow our minds if we are all still alive.

We are definitely not alone in the universe, theres life out there somewhere and I dont just mean organic lifeforms eg the same subtle creatures we are but bacteria and other small lifeforms. If God is somehow real, then who is to say that just because the bible was supposedly wrote for this world, it doesnt say there is not life anywhere else so there could be things like other worlds like this with their own representation of God.

Just a thought but its an interesting theory, maybe we will find out the truth when we die, or just rot?

I like to think when i die, there is another life.

I saw a boy in the paper, he was about 5 and told his mum he used to live in scottland, and he drew and desribed the house and gave them directions. And the house he described was actually real, from every single detail was real. Thats wierd!

Speculating about Space travel in 100 years time is more realistic.. huge advances will have been made nevertheless.

Yeah but that's boring and no one cares about 100 years. What will happen in 100 years... everything will be the same except made of chrome--big woop. 1000 years however is far cooler. 2000 is too much though.

The past maybe because it's happened, but the future hasn't happened yet.

Roboevil

elaborate?

I said it before, in order for us to go back and forth any number of times it means time would have to be recorded. That would make life one massive video tape that we could rewind and fast forward if you like. But why would it be recorded and how could we manipulate it. It's just too illogical.
