I have to do a history essay on how much the parliamentary reform act of 1832 do to change the syetm of sending MPs to parliament. My teacher took in my book and i wasn't at school the last lesson when i should have got it back so i don't have any information except a few sheets of paper i had in my bag.
I've looked on the internet and can't find anything about what the property qualification was and what it was lowered to to be able to be an MP.
Can anyone help?

Off the top of my head is was to do with the destruction of rotten boroughs, i.e. those places who used to have a high population but due to the industrial revolution many migrated to the cities meaning, the population of these areas was less but they still had the same allocation of MP's and sometimes no one lived there meaning people could simply buy their way into Parliament. The act simply redistributed the constituencies to make a fairer proportion of MP's in an area to populance.
