Don't lick them, it makes them worse, don't pick them, that doesn't help either. Just buy some cream stuff and use that as directed and it should clear up. And, you only need to use a little bit on your cold sore, so you can save the cream for next time, and when you feel another one coming on (the corner of your lip being sore) then you can start using it then and stop it before it appears.

A cold sore is basically a form of herpes in your lip. Its usually caught from kissing but can spread in a number of other ways. Once caught you have it for life, as the strain is smart in that's its able to hide from your immune system and will then resurface from time to time. You can usually get rid of the physical manifestations quite quickly.

Fart: No, its not from hormones, and yes it is the same virus as the common STD. Except in your lip instead of other places, meaning it will spread from your lip (when you have cold sores, at other times it should be fine), not from sex.

Well some people are prone to them - mostly not kissing or STI.

The cold virus lies dormant beneath the skin and it just triggers sometimes. At the first sign of one I put on zovirax. Its a cold sore cream and its very good. Dries it up pretty quick.

Id avoid kissing her on the lips (which im doubtful people would do anyway) when its there if you wana stay free of them, but other than that i doubt its really a problem "/
