Viper 2.0

It's official, I am creating a brand new MMOCC but this time I am doing it properly. Several people have already guessed considering my avatar has shown images from an MMOCC and as my signiture suggests a new project will be coming soon. Viper 2.0 (Working title) is in mind a spiritual sequel to Zetolic although this is of course not official as Colin now owns Zetolic (Which is looking great by the way so well done to colin). I will now tell you abit about Viper 2.0 and the motivations behind it.
Increasingly over the past few years I have felt Habbo and other MMOCCs haven't catered well for teenagers. Look at Habbo for example, alot of teenagers play it but its clearly not aimed at them, The style is Cartoonish and the main things to do are trade and playing 'Falling furni' or whatever the popular game is now. Viper 2.0 is set to change this, with the boom of social networking sites I believe teenagers are using the internet to chat with friends so a chatroom is something they are familiar with, its only a short step from Myspace, chatrooms are no longer considered to be for 'Geeks' but are an accepted part of are society. I want Viper 2.0 to be more modern and chic if you will, rather than having bathtubs and rubber ducks like Habbo it will have Laptops and Jacuzzis. What I want to happen is people are able to have alot of fun but also do some more serious things on there, such as the ingame laptops could have a flash word, paint and html editor built in.
This is just the rough outline of Viper 2.0, many of the features and the name will be kept until nearer the time of release. It is in early development stages and wont be ready for a long time but I thought that you should be aware of its existence. For now I leave you with a teaser image.

The people seem a little small compared to the scale of the objects? maybe you should shrink the universe a little to fit better with them?

Coded in Actionscript 2. Im going to reuse part of the Zetolic code, write alot more and use the cowtoon open source socket server :).

Yeh I know, Ill probably design the furniture smaller for the actual client.

I also need ideas for furniture, the sort that would go into an office or somewhere very modern. People who come up with really good ideas will get access to the client before everyone else.

Currently this project is in 'personal' development stages. Only when it really starts coming together will I start looking for staff which probably wont be until April/May. The BETA I hope will be out by June with the first real version released in August/September although at the current time this is only a rough estimate so don't quote me on it.
