The whole Bird Flu thing annoy's the crap out of me. They made the big massive deal out of it, how it's going to kill millions of people, and there hadsn't even been any human cases in UK.

Just make sure you cook your poletry properly and you'll be fine.

haha. i remember about a year and a half ago when everyone on this forum was flipping out because of bird flu, and i kept saying "its just like sars, it's extremely exaggerated" but no one listened and everyone said it was going to kill everyone within a month.

Actually, that whole post is incorrect.

When it mutates, it will kill millions, all over the world.
There has been several human cases of it in the UK.
Cooking your poletry won't do anything, eating it doesn't give you it.And just so you know, when there was an outbreak of birdflu around 1920, more people died from it, than died in World War 1.

It gives you it if you don't cook the poletry properly :)

Well even if that was true, which certain people say its not, thats not the main way of it being spread.

I know, but its advise that has been given by Health and Safety regulators.

Clinics, hospitals and doctors do tablets that have something to do with preventing bird flu, much like the regular flu injection. My family has some because we have loads of birds of prey :) Bird Flu is over-exaggerated and only really concerns anyone who keeps birds.

There is yet to be a case of it mutating between Human's, when it does, then their will be a crisis and a hell of a lot of panic, Scientist's aren't sure if it's possible, if you knew much at all about Bird Flu you'd know that as when you watch the news you're constantly being told that.
There is yet to be a case in the UK, there has been cases in Turkey and Asia, but none as of yet in Europe of human's catching it.
If you knew your Science and Cooking as well you'd know that cooking food kills the bacteria, hence why if you where cooking chicken with bird flu in, it would then kill the Bird Flu.

Wrong, Wrong and... Wrong.

1920, it mutated between normal flu & bird flu, deeming it to be spread from human to human.
There has been several cases of bird flu in the UK, i'll post a link later proving that.
You may be correct about this one, I read that it could not be spread from eating the poletry, but I don't know whether they are correct or not.

That was 1920, surely science has advanced within the 88 years since.

i think that millions of people dying from it is enough evidence.
