I'm not really that keen on the blue header either, then past the banner it looks a bit plain. It good Nearing Good -> OK -> Different. For example, a light gradient, some nice pinkish text with short dashes underlining it and the white section could have an inner glow.

Good luck with it, can't wait to see it updated. :)

The top navig wording needs to be darker, for contrast.

the logo section looked better on the first design you posted, make it black and it would look good on the version you posted above, the tabs look good now.

I'll give it a try, i think the larger logo looks better but then again i havn't tried the smaller one in black.
