Xbox live help!

I have a gamertag which my live has expired on.
How do I use this gamertag and extend my subscription (I have a 13 month live card right next to me)

Right, this is easily done in about 5 minutes.

First of all make sure your on the Xbox Dashboard, then press 'Marketplace'

On Marketplace in the menu it should say somewhere 'Redeem code' - Press it and then enter your 25 digit code in the field, the 25 digit code will be on the card sitting next to you. Just enter it, check for mistakes and you'll instantly get it :D

When i got my 12 months the other day it took me 4 times until it accepted it because you always make mistakes, lol. Pretty straight forward to do.
