Anyone else watch anime, on T.V, Youtube, veoh, dailymotion or other tv sites?

If anyone does what are your favourites? and to ppl prefer to watch Japanese versions of English? I prefer Japanese english dubs r usually really bad and storys are always slightly altered.

Mine in order:

Elfin Lied - Amazingly good
Ouran high host club - Really funny
Eureka 7 - Sad but happy ending
Teacher please - funny and sort of sad at end
Tokyo mew mew - entertaining
Girls Bravo - very funni

I know theres more but i cant remember lol.

Subtitles are much better than dubbed. The only anime I'd ever watched dubbed would be Dragonball, because its actually better, supprisingly.

Pokémon was good at the start but their milking it now, I stopped watching after Johto that was when I was about 11/12.

Im trying to get through Dragonball Z, over 200 episodes and 10 movies.
Then Im going to watch Dragonball GT :)

I couldnt be bothered with original Dragonball cause it's like 3 decades old compared to the others which are 1 and a half

I loved FLCL, its all about the stylisation and experience, the constant breaking of the 4th wall combined with an eccentric and hyperactive pace of massively varying animation effects. I dont really think its something you can truly appreciates in a single sitting. I just wish there'd been more of it, very interesting show in my mind :)

Also, as i always say, NGE mops the flaw with death note in terms of plot complexity, depth and more aless anything else you care to suggest, i would seriously suggest you give it a watch, though NGE takes a few episodes to really get going i've still yet to see an animé that's even come close to comparing with it.

Most NGE tends to be pretty expensive to buy, plus you do loose a bit if you get the dubbed version (a number of episodes were severely edited so as not to offend quite so many people)
So if you are ok with subs, the subbed original versions are far far superior. (and available from your nearest torrent site most likely)

Other than that, there's plenty of animé ive enjoyed and would recommend, but it really depends on your tastes for alot of it :p

Decent price there, plus yup thats it. Its got the two movies two which kinda make some sence out the final eps of the serise which are some of the weirdest things ive ever seen.

They aired Dragonball Z first in some places because Dragonball didn't get very high ratings. :P But Dragonball was awesome, with it there would be no Z. If anything is boring, it would be Dragonball GT.

Baby was alright, SSJ4 was good at first but really they ruined it by trying to do something different. It's not what fans wanted, and Goku being turned back into a child... I don't have one friend who likes it. So I rely on my sis with a 10 year age gap :S.. but she has sort of taught me to at least look into the old classics like sailor moon, pokemon, and .. tokyo mew mew etc.

I was gonna cosplay as L from Death Note, my friend was going to do Ninja Ninja from Afro Samurai and my other friend was going to go as someone from Bleach. But we decided to save our money to spend on stuff there, plus food and other supplys. :P Also we have to buy tickets, a hotel room and get the train there and back which will cost about £70. :P I better buy the tickets now actually.
At the expo you're weird if you don't cosplay though, so you'll be fine. :D

When I bought Ghost in the Shell on DVD my step dad was like 'It cost £10!?' I explained that it was a great price for 2 anime films but then he was like 'but it's cartoons'. All I had to say was 'if you saw it you'd see it's nothing like a cartoon'. People need to stop judging anime before they've seen it! Although I don't know any adults who understand anime. :P My dad's like 'whats that chinese stuff?' -_- My mum's safe though. She never questions my anime. :8 I assume you're sisters 10 years older than you then? Must be cool to have an older sister who likes anime. :D

Don't worry, you'll find someone else who likes anime eventually. It's still growing here in the UK. It was the same for me. When I was in school I didn't know anyone who liked anime, but when I left and went to college half of the class liked it. I was quite supprised. :P Plus 75% of the people at the MCM expo are going to like anime, you'll meet a lot there. :D

See that Ryuk is brilliant... I really do hope there's a few DN cosplayers there.. I was trying to find a pair of anime characters .. one being younger than the other so we can both go from the same anime, all I can think of is momiji Sohma from fruits basket, and the epic CHIBI moon:D ..If not I'll probably do something from chobits or shuffle, perhaps DN? though there's not alot of good females in there. I was looking over the expo forums a few days ago and everyone there says you can do everything in one day pretty easily, but if you're a regular and meet up with a lot of people there you'll need two days. They also said sunday is a lot more quieter than saturday. We might just spend the whole day at the expo on saturday, then only a few hours on sunday then go check out the shops in London after. It's my birthday 4 days before, so I'll be quite loaded. :P
If you don't have loads of plans then just go for one day. :) Is this your first time going? I can't remember is you said or not.

n no I havn't been to the mcm before.. they normally have a midlands expo in february but they didn't have it this year, We'd originally booked places for Amecon running in August but it was mainly a cosplay thing and this sound much more exciting. Anime is alright but I prefer Manga better since thats where most of the original stories for Anime come from. I tend to read more than watch but if I do watch Anime, I like to see;

n no I havn't been to the mcm before.. they normally have a midlands expo in february but they didn't have it this year, We'd originally booked places for Amecon running in August but it was mainly a cosplay thing and this sound much more exciting. I guess I'll see if I feel up to doing both days. I'd like a day for the anime and cosplay kinda stuff, as you tend to get alot of....... Glomps? :/ but then have a day to just look around stuff and spend my hard earnt cash. I did think of going as a battle royale character... hmm..

Theres a midlands one in September isnt there? Then theres another London one in October. From the videos I've seen, there are a lot of cosplayers. I'm going to feel so out of place. :P We're probably going to spend all day there on saturday until we get kicked out, then go to Gosh! down on Russell Street near the British Museum. They have a ton of manga there for 2-5 pound each. I need to buy the rest of the Death Note volumes I haven't got. :P

I'd rather go to Gosh, it's just over the road from Forbidden Planet and they seem to be the same price everywhere anyway. But I looked on Amazon and if I buy the remaining volumes I haven't got off there I'll save around £11, so I'll probably buy the rest from Amazon and volume 1 of the DVD aswell. :P Even though I already have all the episodes on DVD. I must be the ultimate fan. :eusa_danc

Manga is only in Japanese in Japan. Why would they release things in Japanese in countries that speak a different language? They translate it obviously.

Claymore is amazing. I watched the anime first since the manga is still on-going. I have the first 5 volumes of the manga which I'm currently reading. :) Please buy the manga instead of reading it online though, it's much better.

i prefer reading manga to watching anime, i always have.
having said that, i loved fma, and ive watched a little of naruto. but the manga is always ahead, so i get too impatient and read ahead :P

That's usually a plus factor with say an anime like Naruto, as the fights drag on for about 5-6 episodes.

Thats what I hate about animes such as Naruto and Dragonball Z. They spend 5 episodes talking, then have a little fight, talk some more, then have another little fight and so on. I don't watch any on-going series, I much prefer short, 26-ish episode ones. In them the talking and fighting is evenly balanced, they're perfect in my eyes. But manga does seem to go a lot faster than anime to me, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying it. :)

I'd rather watch a short movie that focuses entirely on the plot instead of a feature length film that includes a load of fillers just to make it seem slower/longer.
