View Full Version : FansiteGroup - Early Site Submission
We're on the look out for a good amount of fansites so we can launch with an already large community. We're accepting fansites that cater for any Hotel community so don't be afraid to submit a site that you own even if it's not in English. The submission form can be found;
HERE (http://www.fansitegroup.com/submission)
Also we've launched a small linking campaign to spread the word about the site. Which can be found;
HERE (http://www.fansitegroup.com/link)
Just interested in checking out the fansite (just remember it's no where near complete yet)? Then click;

When will the site be finally opening?
Becuase my site is getting new features soon and I don't want to submit it untill they're up and running.

Launch is all depending on when the system can be finalized. I will post a launch thread when it opens :)

How would you go about if say a fansite closed and somebody else had there same name and wanted to submit?

We're working on a Fansite Code idea which means the original owner simply gives the new owner the code and the fansite can be switched to their account. This Fansite Code can also be used to adding additional owners to a fansite.

When will fansite be chosen, Also maybe allow people to add there own logo by logo i mean somethin like this
http://www.hhgs.net/ross/gutftdyrte.gif
Every fansite will add an image like this;
http://images.fansitegroup.com/widget-graphics/habbovalley.gif
These will display in the Site Widgets (where at the moment it says "SUBMIT YOUR SITE"). Btw, HabboValley aren't part of the group, their banner just allowed me to make a widget graphic easily :P

Seeing as Ryan is coding the site here are a few ideas.
User control panel:
Change password
Edit fansite image
Remove site
Generate fansite code
'Push' fansite domain (on site) to another account

Noo, me and Ryan are mates loll. I was just saying they are things which should definitely be considered to be added by default.

Oh right lol, I thought you was dissing him or something :S
Yeah, as you probably know I have quite an imagination when it comes to things like this. So they will all be included :P

Do you think we should launch a simple vBulletin forum with the group?

I think that is over doing it to be honest.
But you could do something like a general "Habbo Chat" thing?

I'm surprised no-one has said this yet - the layout colours are a bore.

Well, I wasn't wanting bright splashy colours like I have on TheHabbo. I wanted it to be basic and easy to look at. As the site isn't there to work as a fansite, it's to direct people to good fansites.

I agree with Aflux.
It's not an attractive website, but at the end of the day it is aimed at 1 public sector (teenagers) and maybe some colour needs to be added?

Like I said, keeping it simple without the bright colours because of it's purpose. If I added bright colour I know the first thing people would say is "TheHabbo" :P

Simple design, monotrone droning colours - in my opinion of course.

So you want something that is filled with detail and colours for a basic site for which people are meant to just browse through and find other sites that they would wish to look at...
Better speak to Google then :P

It is quite dull, BUT when you have the little fansite banner things put up I think that'll fill space for colour, as the banners are going to be coloured.
Good luck with the site, seems some people are interested so far!
that a good idea.. i anit got a fansite so i cant submit anything =(

I must admit that it does look a little dull.
Please stop complaining about lack of colour. Like Hitman said once all the site images are in it will be filled with colour. Move on and no one else say "it's a bit dull" already know.

What's the point in the two different link codes, why not just have an image with the shadows and use the img src, it'll still validate..
i do like the idea :) i just never posted in your threads lol
i like the stars aswell :)
good luck and ill visit it :)
fansites previous to the opening of the site.
its prior, not previous :)

The shadowed image is semi-transparent PNG, which only works in IE7 not IE6 and below. Therefore I've created the DIV one to only show the shadow in Firefox and so on. If I placed a semi-transparent shadow on the image one, it would show errors in Internet Explorer.
That's why :)
