Stuck on king kong xD

Anyway, im at the bit where your in that place and your with 2 other guys and you need to get fire to get burn away the leaf things so i can get the stick to open gate but theres no fire the level is like when you go through and loads of them attack you then you cross over a little water bit but its full of those water creatures and they come out after you, anyway how can i burn the leafs as i got no more and ive gone bk as far as i can but theres still none
