Erm, well theres 2 movies. First one came outi n 1995, second one in 2004. I haven't seen the second one.

It's a damn good film and I'd recommend it. If you like The Matrix, you'll like Ghost in the Shell. Some people even say it's one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. It's a shame some people won't watch it just because they think anime is for kids. This is another one of the animes I'd use to back up the fact that anime isnt for kids. It's pretty gory and there are some nude scenes. :P

It's nothing like that... well the ones I've watched. You can call it geeky as people who are obsessed with it are always a bit weird. It's definately not all for kids though.

I think the only reason people say it's for kids is because of the look of it. Yes, it may look similar to a cartoon, but if people actually bothered to check it out they'd see that it is something totally different.
