You press it when a member of staff comes and it will take you to a page to do with maths etc so u dont get caught .

dont most schools have programs to detect proxies now? or atleast they have a system set up so they can see your computer screen from a different monitor, my school does impero i think its called so this would seem pointless tbh

There is one proxy at my College that never gets detected and is run by Toyota. Just can't remember the name of it, it's bookmarked on all the computers by one of the IT guys. I'll post it once I can remember it :P

To be quite honest, loose the "panic" idea. If you are panicing, all people simply need to do is press ALT+F4. It's alot quicker than dragging your mouse to the panic button.

Say your on a site that the school has banned in a ICT lesson, you can press the "Panic!" button and it'll take you off to some page that looks like it's got something to do with Maths or English, normally with a clever little back button hidden away in it.
Useful on games sites etc.

Yeah, but purely for the panic button feature, I can't think of any other proxies that actually have Panic buttons. Good idea (:
