God, that not nice . Read it. Oh or you get a "warning"
That not nice, and this is what you get when you hire MODs from the public or stupid people.
What you think?
(Feedback)
Do you think they should have looked in to these people more, becasue some are just bare rude lol. :)
Edit by Adzeh (Assistant General Manager): Thread closed due to going so far off topic. Discussion has taken place and there has been more than enough points raised and answered on both sides.

this particular moderator is new to the team - give him a chance to learn the ropes and even learn from his mistakes. if you have a complaint about a member then post privately in the complaints forum.
also writing my name in the first post like you did doesnt earn you any respect if thats what you were hoping for.

Doing my job my friend, enforcing the rules which is what a moderator is employed to do. If you don't follow the rules, you face the consequences - it's really that simple.
If you want to continually break rules and ignore my warnings [in post form] then that's fine but you have to accept the consequences otherwise, well, you ain't going to get far in life.
You guys didn't listen to my first post which warned about arguments and pointless posting so therefore a stricter response needed, in my opinion, to be initiated.
If you feel I made the wrong decision to warn you guys about arguments and pointless posting and to close the thread; don't hesitate to PM Elkaa or J1MI - I'll even do it myself if you wish to see if they justify my actions.
PS - If you feel that my post was 'rude', even though it wasn't aimed at you, then feel free to PM me and I will again, justify my actions and explain what I said and why I said it. In no way was my post intended to be rude, it was intended to lay down the rules because you guys didn't listen to my prior posts.

Well, me, it would just be better if you just edit it, therefore would be much better and quicker. i see what your saying, trying to know everybody that it being watched and try to get them back on track with the rules. The only bit i found was saying to karl, tbh.

If they ignored your original warning to stay on topic then you should infract them. It's not your place to be giving out threat after threat saying you will infact people if they don't do what you say. If they don't follow the rules then infract them, simple as tbh.
However I know your a decent guy and your just new.

Actually mentor is a forum moderator.
they opened to the public to see who was interested, and from them decided on a few. They didn't have to hire anyone but they hired people who are experienced on the forum and have a decent attitude.
They are new to the job as of today give them a break and let them get to know the ropes of their job.

How about you stop trying to cause trouble, stop trying to complain after any action a new moderator makes.
You've obviously gained the caution after not following the rules - why not learn from your own mistakes instead of picking at others.

It takes time to get accustomed with applying the forum rules to moderation. Its not something that just comes naturally and I'm sure that if you were given a moderator position, you wouldn't have a smooth start.
The point is, that all moderators (new and old) should have their work reviewed and any mistakes or errors pointed out to them; and then advice from an Admin or Super Mod stating what should of been done in the situation. This is exactly what happens and all moderators are constantly learning about how best to apply the forum rules.
I'm not going to say the moderator in question was wrong, I am merely trying to enlighten you that with every new job/task faced, people start slowly; as experience is gained, so to is ability :).
I'm sure that as your experience with people grows, you will also begin to understand how best to deal with a situation. For example, not making a complete scene of something as trivial of this, and openly discussing a particular member of staff in such a way that it leads all other readers to feel negatively towards him; when really, a simple PM to the (Assistant) Forum Manager would have sufficed. But of course you knew that :).

From the people they've hired there is at least 4 or more that have been forum moderators on this forum before. Let alone other forums.
We have a strict and detailed guide to follow and we are bound to make mistakes at some point.

Technically, hes just doing somthing. I cant speak for H0BJ0B but so far ive pretty much left all but one thing slide, as in my judgement although close to the line, they hadn't crossed it. This basicly means ive done bugger all, so taking the initiative and taking action where he thought was right, isnt something you can blame him for.
