Well, it was last week. And me and a friend were joking around arguing.. and I replied to one of her comments "You fail at life!" and she took it full on, to heart. I just let it go and thought to myself that she would get over it by tomorow.
The next day, she said sorry for sulking and I apologized for saying what I said. Then later that day she showed me her wrist, and it was like.. cut. I found it sooo funny, I was thinking to myself "EMO ATTENTION SEEKER!" Then she said she had to go to hospital because of some infection over it. And I assumed she would be okay, but her mum texted me yesterday saying there's some sort of disease and she has gone into critical care.
I'm really worried, and feel guilty because it was my fault. :( What can I do?

it's not your fault she was stupid enough to cut herself.
anyway, maybe go and visit her or something?
try and explain to her it was a joke and such.

As jade said its not your fault she got herself into the mess she needs to clear it up and stop getting the attenstion that is what i hate about some people is that they are always attention seeking or they are depressed lmao. And yer might be a good idea to vist her in hospital. :)

Well its a lesson learned I feel. Cause and effect - what you said wasn't the reason I don't think. It seems she has a few issues but because of what you said you now feel terrible so you know now not to say something like that again even as a joke. I am sure she will be better very soon but meanwhile you could make her a card and perhaps visit. Not all people are emos and really do have some problems but I guess your realise that now. :)

It's not your fault. It was her choice to do that.

It was her choice but yeah, natural to feel guilty.

as the above post said, its natural to feel guilty, but if she's that messed up to do it in the first place, it's not your fault.

Something like that can't cause anyone to do that. If it did, it was 'pay back'.

It was her desicion to do it. You fail @ life is hardly something to cut over now is it , you shouldn't feel to down about it.
