If I was me and my style, I would just have a white box, with no borders.

You're portfolio box, is plain, and non web2.0
This however is web 2.0

Ouch,

Some hints, most (ofcourse not all) business designs are very, VERY clean and simple, using basic colours as white and light gray combined with 1 to 3 Key Colours

Try making a clean/light layout with a logo looking like an isle or something, I think that would look more professional.

Darren, define web 2.0.

Darren, define web 2.0.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0

Any help .?
I'm guessing cleaner looks of sites, better coding etc.
Like no more use of boxes or something.

Web 2.0 isn't design is it, I thought that was a common misconception? I always thought it was social networking sites etc.

Anyway this layout doesnt look like my usual ones I just decided to do something different.

Sorry to say, this is not web 2.0 :( Sorry to say none really cares what you think, Your layouts (The ones that aren't ripped of course) Are Crap , so don't go round implying that your better than everyone else, this is exactly the reason why people didn't like you now your starting it again *****.

George, as you know i cannot make layouts i admit that so you don't have to listen to what i've got to say the first one i thought was a bit plain to what you usually do , what happened to the george style layouts :S, i like the borders and i exspecially like the 2nd one, anyway keep up the good work.

Web 2.0 has nothing to do with design you're right. Well the first concept and meaning didn't anyway. However over the past year or two it has now become a general meaning for a website which may be designed/coded in a certain way which makes it cleaner, lighter and faster than a usual website.

The original meaning was "Developed applications/software which interact with external websites via the means of API.". So basically things like Pownce, Twitter and so on are web 2.0 as they have pieces of software which easily allow you to update their sites from your desktop instead of a browser. The most recent releases of these supported softwares are Adobe AIR (personal favourite) and Google Gear.

I read a lot of WebDesigner/dotNET magazines and that was the creators definition (not word for word).

Plus, the layout is ugly :)

I based it on that, I wouldn't normally but as it was for my site design I wouldn't be selling it or giving someone a design thats similar to the template monster one.
