I just want to say what a big improvement it's been to see more and more high management posting about the forum, instead of lurking in staff only and the feedback section. I've even seen MAD make some posts in sections other than this, J1MI and others are also coming outside more.
I gladly welcome this as a step towards reducing the gap between staff and members...
Well done from me :)

I agree, but there still needs to be more involvement between the two. They only seem to post in calm discussions. I've not seen any in fun topics yet :P

One step at a time for them I suppose. Most forum crises (more like people jumping on a bandwagon) could be greatly reduced with more staff available to the people, instead of just seeing their red text :(

agreed with gommeinc, although some do have pretty time-consuming jobs to do
I agree. In the last 12 months, management haven't posted around the forums much. Nice to see more of a contribution. As mentioned, it can be improved. :P

They do have jobs so that is understandable :) well said.

They're not that big the jobs? Although some have sorta foolishly taken on a few too many jobs which kinda ruins the whole experience for them :P

What a nice thread, I'm sure the management will appreciate the feedback. =]
I have seen it around too. We still have Elkaa posting around, I've seen J1MI the spam forum a fair bit and MAD getting a little bit involved in debates. It's always good to have members, staff and management posting around the forum as well.
If these guys work too much, we should look at some form of Occupational Health and Safety rules involved where they have to take a break from working when online and post around the forum. :P

Or force them to give one of the manager jobs to someone who can handle it, so they get more time and less work and the person who has the job can have some time and some work to deal with too. So everybody's happy!

Although some have sorta foolishly taken on a few too many jobs which kinda ruins the whole experience for them :Psince becoming a moderator i've notived that the people higher than me put a lot into habbox forum. super mods have to spend hours each day just sorting out post reports and stuff we report to them etc, and the forum managers have a lot to do keeping it running smoothly while producing staff reports in the process. a lot goes into the moderator reports, and with 14(?) new moderators, its gonna be a lot of hard work this week!

I agree, i often see roughly 20 new reports to super moderators at prime time at least. Along with infractions to check all the time, warnings and post reports.
Along with general moderation they do from time to time.
Its crazy!

Since they're employed to do a job, then I suppose that idea cancels out the main purpose of their position. :P

I agree totally, I honestly don't know how they keep up with the workload. Being new, I get more than my fair share of warnings/infractions reversed, but the speed at which the smods pick up on it and sometimes 2/3 smods PM me with words of direction. What amazes me is that they don't sound stressed in the slightest, they're always calm and helpful which is commendable.
As for other high management, I've seen adzeh make a thousand and one lengthy posts in a couple of heated discussions in this forum, and MAD has been posting around the runescape forum. Its nice to actually be able to get to know them as people as well as managers :)

I think thats what many forum users do not realize. There is whole other world going on behind the scenes that not many people will ever know about. All these systems that have been set up make the forum managers, forum super moderators and forum moderators jobs a lot easier and more comfortable. Obviously mistakes are bound to happen but we are forgiving but off course theres a limit to how much we can let slide ;).
And REDNECK - thats just the forum department don't forget.

Thank you. =]
I don't think any of us should sound stressed at all. We have a range of responsibilities, and apart of that is to make sure mods learn from their mistakes and become a better mod. If we didn't like our responsibilities, we wouldn't have taken the job, of course. It doesn't matter how much work you have, as long as you're comfortable with your job.

Your always stress, you bite our heads off when we pm you!
But yes Super Moderators and higher dont get enough credit for how hard they work, most of it is behind the scenes. :)

I couldn't care less how many times I get PMed, so you can ask me anything, anytime. :)
Except for when I got spammed 400 times, the same message! But oh well, it took 20 seconds to delete them all! :D

I have noticed that the forum seems to have a much friendlier atmosphere lately myself and also we definitely have a mutual admiration society forging itself between a Smod and Mod above ;):D
