Police chase tonight whilst I was working out in the van...

We were just about to cross the roundabout when a white transit came from the left handside, about 100mph. and then we braked hard, if we didn't I would've been brown bread and then behind us, we saw a flashing blue light...
An undercover police Omega Elite v6, I believe, going like the clappers chasing this transit.
This transit turned into a dead end. Pwnt.

I saw a good Police Chase once, they had a very look escape.

Basically a few years ago Geoff Hoon was the Ministry of Defence and for those who don't know, it's a high position in the government/cabinet. Anyway he lives near me and has Armed Security Guards etc.

Anyway some absolutely stupid Muppets stole the royal mail van outside his house not realising it was being protected by armed policemen, it belonged to the government and the mail van contained a hell of a lot of government documents, and a few boxes about the upcoming 'Budget'. The robbers where just stealing a mail van not knowing all that, they nicked it and where racing around at about 70MPH on a 30MPH road, they then realised it was full of confidential governments documents and boxes, so began chucking them out the window, one nearly hit our windscreen and nearly crashed into us. It was being chased by a Ford Galaxy FULL of Armed Policemen, they then crashed at the next corner, two of them made a short get a way but one of them was arrested by the armed Policemen. A police chopper later came and found them hiding in a bush.

They where so lucky they didn't end up getting killed or shot by the armed policemen.

I've seen a police chase in america. Twas in a taxi on the freeay into san francisoc and a policeman just ran out into the road to stop traffic. an suv came flying up the emergency lane (hard shoulder) tried to turn off but missed and hit the divider between the exit and freeway :l

I can sometimes do 100 MPH on the highway, usually if I'm passing. on the highways in New York, we have passing lanes but usually people drive normally in them, so you have to get into another lane to pass, it can get dangerous at times!

The blue van are annoying, i don't see them any more but in the 90's I did, only tramps drive the blue ones now days, they make so much noise :l

Have you ever actually driven one? You'd be suprised. I can easily get 100 out of my Transit on the motorway, I've hit 110 in it going down a bit of a slope on the M1.

& the below isn't strictly true either :p at work we have loads of Transits from 52 reg to 57. In the flat roofed 52 plate you can easily get 100MPH out of it, whereas in the 57 flat roofed transit you're lucky to get 90

I took the odyssey on the highway one night and I think it got up to around 120mph before it started to shake and I felt like I would loose control.. I think with a good alignment and balancing it could go faster. The same goes with the accord except I can get it to about 130 and then it started to shake so I slowed down. I didn't get a chance to take moms new car out on the highway.. Maybe tonight I'll try?
