When I brought out V1 I repeatedly stressed it would be completely different to our real client but even I didn't know how different it would be. After I did some market research I was surprised to find that a large amount of MMOCC players are now girls, girls attracted by spaceships? I think not. So my plan changed, in fact it changed time and time again and around 2 1/2 months ago I began developing at this time I can only call 'Zetolic 2.0'

'Zetolic 2.0' is something a little different, its more imaginative than other MMOCCs, rather than being set in a city or town it is set in dreams. Ok that sounds weird I know. Having 'dreams' allows us to have completely different environments and characters throughout the game for example you could have a nightmare full of monsters etc. This isn't one of those MMOCCs where the owner gets ahead of themselves, they plan things they cannot do. I can do this and I have.

You've just shown us pointless images, you can't show previous images and say you've updated them if you show the updated images as things which don't relate to the previous at all. Only thing kind of relating the images are the characters. Show us an updated image of the actual client not consoles and boxes...

Also when the emailer tells you your pass it gives the MD5 hash and not the actual pass :S.

No you don't understand. Basically he posted pictures of what it was like before, then posted images which don't relate to the "Before" graphics. If you are trying to say you have improved and developed something (especially in graphics) you have to show the before and after which means they have to be related. Not two completely different things...

Yeah, but the images don't relate to each other. The first ones have images of the client, then the new ones are pictures of boxes and characters. Pointless trying to show improvement when you're not showing the two stages... :l

Those 'boxes' are part of the actual client?
Also i'm guessing the point in the garden picture was to compare the old character design to the new ones.

One is showing the v1 client and Two is showing the graphics we have for V2 so far.
SS is right it also shows the old characters. It shows the transfer from crappy vector art to stunning pixel art. I can't show before and afters of the same thing because it no longer exists.

it's the perspective the picture is drawn in.The counter just overlaps the tiles there. There is 1 tile walk way behind the entire counter.

Ye it started out real good. Then the staff got bogged down with exams & then all the host problems..

Which really caused the sense of deadness.. We had all these cool updates ready for release to add more users.. then the host crash lost all the mysql for them

Oof, that sounds really bad. Well to be honest, I don't thinks wise to store users names since that database is unused and more like a DVLA of passwords, emails and other confidential information. It should only be inputted once the MySQL database is fully secured and hashed.

the mysql is hashed & secured pretty good. Unfortunately harddrive failures can't be secured against except for backups/.

I say adopt an InnoDB structure, takes ages but well worth it if you geooptimize. Then run a daily backup cron to download it to an external hd of yours, physical, that way nothing like that can ever go wrong.
