Album Review Poll

Ok the articles department has posted two album reviews this week, one by superfly-dan and one by Me... They are two very different styles one is a short, snappy and gets to the point the other is an in depth analysis of the sound and lyrics with an overall point of view at the end.

i'd say i like yours better, but both articles suffer from beating around the bush. they're both starting off by introducing the band and their previous endeavors too much. you don't really want to do that, you want to talk about their new style and songs first, then venture into what has changed. this is because you want to assume that the reader already knows the basics. if they didn't they probably wouldn't be reading some article about a band they didn't know anything about.

i write music reviews for my school paper and i'm planning on being a music journalist when i'm older, i get schooled in this a lot, haha.
