View Full Version : Just bought a new car!
I've just bought myself a VW Golf mk4. It's a 1.9 Turbo diesel and cost me £2800.
I should hopefully be picking it up on Thursday or Friday, so I'll post some pictures when it arrives.

1) its a girls car
2) lol at colour
i didn't think I'd want any colour apart from black or silver. I saw this and when I went to have a look at it, I loved the colour, it looks better in real life. I'm gonna get some black wheels, and a strut brace connects both suspension struts under the bonnet to increase handling around corners.
the angel eye headlights are:

oh, and a dump valve reduces excess pressure when changing gear (from the turbo)

the daytime running lights on the 745 look like that.
I like that car a lot. I love volkswagen and that car will last you a long time! We had a 2005.5 jetta tdi 5-speed for the office and it went to 130k miles with nothing but the regular service and a timing belt. I hope the other 2 jetta last that long!

lovely car ive always loved the VW since they merged with audi They've been merged since the 1960s, you make it sound like they only merged 5 years ago and Audi transformed Volkswagon. Not only is it the other way round but it was about 45 years ago.

I was looking for black or silver, but I saw this and the fact it was local, so I decided to go for it.
Dump valves let off excess pressure from the turbo, and increase the power by a bit.

the engines will go forever, it probably will outlast the body, unlike most cars where it's the other way around.

How will the price of the Dump Valve out weigh the small performance upgrade, and everybody laughing at you for imating a car that could actually see a useful benifit from one?

I hope it was in near good condition when you purchased it for £2,800.
I am a huge golf gti fan, absolutely love that car but before you go spend money on customisations I would so have that car resprayed as I have thrown up a better colours then that.
I am a nut for their steel grey colour, (or metallic black because all my cars have been black)

I admit, at first I didn't think I'd like the colour before I saw it, I thought "I'm only going to go for white, silver or black" but when I saw this I thought "I want it."
With regards to customization, I'm not going to "chav it up" - I'm gonna get a few subtle mods like those above, and some tints and wheels. I'm not gonna go OTT.
