View Full Version : I've bought a domain... +REP
And put the name servers into it, now what do I do?
Wait, your host will do it.
Do something in cpanel (if so, what)
It will register itself.Thanks!

Once you have set the nameservers properly, you have to wait on the DNS to propagate (Can take anything up to 48 hours)
In cPanel you then have to add the domain name to your "Parked Domains" area on cPanel.

So now I just wait?
How long do I have to wait?

Isn't it 0 - 48 hours, not 72

Yeah it is sorry :P
It can take anything up to 48 to propagate the DNS.

So I have to wait, then park it?
cus my CPanel says
Error from park wrapper: Sorry, you are not allowed to add any more than (0) parked domains!Hmmm...
Or must I wait?
Whois has it registered there.
argh, this is confusingggg!
I've put on the domain site under my cp
'name server one: ns1 bla bla.co.uk
name server two: ns2 bla bla.co.uk'
so now I just wait?

Okay, You must wait until the DNS propagates (However you can park it now)
The reason you are getting that error isn't because the DNS hasn't propagated yet, it is because your host hasn't allowed you any parked domains. So if you want your domain to link to your hosting account, your gonna need to get the ability to park at least one domain to your account.

You have the wrong end of the stick.
You have got hosting right? Then your host gives you nameservers. You enter these into your domain panel. Manage.karldomains.com now you go to your cpanel and upload stuff.
Uusally takes about an hour.
Yeah I have hosting and I have the name servers Karl :]
And it has stuff on :P
