Goals from Donal McDermott, Derek Boyata, a penalty from David Ball and a Robbie Mak brace mean City are now nine points clear at the top of their Under 18s Group.
Fans are reminded that the young Blues are back in FA Youth Cup action next Wednesday with a fifth round trip down to Bristol City kicking off at 7pm.
City and United lock horns again this Thursday, this time in the Manchester Senior Cup, with the Blues looking for another victory in their bid to retain the trophy they won at Old Trafford last season.
