As one of the only Chinese people here, I wish you a happy lunar new year ;D
I have to go to my granny's house soon.

I totally forgot it was chinese new year, and went to the chinese only to see it was shut. :(

That way of spelling it is the mandarin. the way i spelt it was the cantonese way.. Im cantonese so i spell it that way :)

Chinese new year varies each year. The start of chinese new year is the first full moon. They then celebrate for 2 weeks :)

n the "Year of the Rat", we can expect 12 months of plentiful opportunities and prospects not to mention being relatively free of turbulence, (which is great to know especially if you're planning on making some long-term investments, starting new projects, or keeping the home fires burning brightly).

ah i see, i'm part chinese and i'm from singapore. the chinese here speak mandarin though, so everyone spells it as gong xi fai cai :D

i used to celebrate cny, until my parents separated.
