it's not much of an age gap, quite a lot of married couples are a few years apart, it just seems like a big gap when both are in their teens.

25 & 27 couple looks fine

45 & 50 couple looks fine

16 & 18 looks unusual only because your both young.

No age isnt a matter i no loads of people who are going out with 18 - 20 year olds and they are only 15 - 17 themselve. I dont think no1 will say anything bad against it though! :) If they do i would just ignore them :P

Mmmmm.. Age means nothing mate.
Don't listen to any negative comments because those people don't like this girl the way you do so it doesn't matter!

Go for it!:D

Some people will laugh at first, but only for like a day lol.
Think of how many couples there are, and the guy is younger (usually called a toyboy) LOADS!
Dont worry about it ;)

Your just mature for your age which is better.

What kind of idiots do you know? One or two year's age difference isn't bad "/

Especially after turning 16, it doesn't really matter so much, if your partner is upwards.

I had a long relationship with a 25 year old. I'm 17 and even then hardly anyone was bothered.

Hello? Lmao

theres a 9 year age gap in my parents.

There like a 7 year age gap in my mother and step-dad.

Loads of people date others younger or older then them, its not abnormal, trust me. Anyone that thinks it is needs a reality check.

So dont worry about it too much :) if you like her and she likes you, thats all that really matters :)

I'm 16 turning 17 in May, and my girlfriend just turned 18 a few days ago, I see nothing wrong with this, when you get older nobody else will either.

Heh, most people congratulate the other lads at school if their girlfriend is a year or two older, so I don't think it should be anything to worry about.

If people do say anything, just ignore them.

I don't think they will though. ;>

Good luck!

I have a similar situation. I am 6 ft 4" tall and my girlfriend is 5 ft nothing - the looks we get are amazing; but we laugh it off and this whole island is shocked to see that we're still together after 1 year and 3 months. Feelings shouldn't be affected between a couple by others. If you will be happy with this girl, who cares? :)! Hope this helped!
