Are they compatible with the Xbox? Cos really they're just a big memory stick (well similar).
Would surely save money on Elite if they are?

I think they are however I don't take my word as the final word on it because I'm not 100% sure. ;)

Some are, some aren't. Looking over google, any external HDDs that support FAT32 and HFS+ seem to work:

Yea you can but I heard you can only store game ISOs (if your 360s flashed), music and images on them, you can't put DLC on them, I don't think you can put saves or game accounts on them either

Get a MadCatz or a Microsoft one - then you won't blow up your 360 yeah? :P

I use my 250 gig external in my xbox, you can't store game save data on it but media will go on (Not sure about Xbox media though :S I've never tried downloading a video to it). Might aswell pay for the xbox hard drive if you're just looking for more save data.
I think u need a sata cable and hook your hdd (xboxs) to ur pc then get data off then do same with other but put it on it and it should be recognised as a 360 hdd
