XBOX LIVE HELP?

Ok, well when i sign into xbox live, it all works fine etc
Then i sign out, test connection, and everything works correctly.
But its when i try and join a game or w.e etc
For example:

I try joining COD4 games, but it doesn't ever find a game.
I try joining GOW games, but i join, then it lags up.

Is it a blip in my connection?
Because everything seems to work fine.

Where abouts is your wireless router located or do you use a cable?

make sure everything is plugged in :L

I had a similair problem.

Check your NAT settings, If set to strict it may be that causing the problem. Your NAT setting ca be changed in your router options.

Or

Your router may be conflicting with other like hell..from time to time i cant join people because our routers conflict. If this is the case you need to buy a new router or just stick with playing on your own.

My wireless router is downstairs, but it always works fine. It's just started to play up over the past few days, my internet was rather slow aswell.

Whats our ISP. If i remember correctly some ISP dont support Xbox live..not sure if it true but im sure i read it somewhere.

just thought of another thing which may effect your online play..your firewall. not sure if you check it but make sure your xbox has complete access and isn't getting blocked.
