This isn't happening to me. I rarely get in fights. But Jack, a good mate of mine at school just split up after a 10 month relationship with his girlfriend. Unfortuneately for him she took it the wrong way and got her really hard cousin to come after him. He hasn't done it yet, I'm not sure when. The point is, whenever I'm with Jack at lunch, he's always nervous. He constantly looks over his shoulder and refuses to go anywhere alone. He stays right in the middle of our 20-man group at lunch and is always cautious of what happens around him.
Now I dunno about you, but this is just sad. What has he done to deserve this? Why should he go about living his life every day until God knows when in fear? It's just one of these things I just can't abide. I hate it. I feel so sorry for him.
Anyone else feel the same way? Not towards this particular situation but in general?

Are you sure it was a serious threat? People say things like that all the time just to sound hard.

I'm positive it was serious. Jack's girlfriend's cousin is a ****. He starts fights with people for nothing.

Just get your mate to start going round with smaller groups at lunch til he has the courage to go round on his own, he's not likely to get properly beat up during school?

Thanks, I'll try that.
And yep, some people get absolutely hammered at school. Just this week I seen a boy get leathered.

Just have a fight , if he gets beaten up so be it , at least it ends there.
People who use words are the wusseys and don't dare to anything.
It's there only way to "look hard" but fail completely. And need to maybe think about acting there age and getting some sence into them;)
Also get beaten at school and get him excluded/Expelled or the unpopular answer is and most properly the most sensible is to tell him to tell the Princable if the dude wanting to beat him up is in your school.

Do what I did for a buddy of mine. Get a nice hardwood baseball bat. Slip on a trenchcoat. Hide the bat under your sleeve.
Stick by your buddy when you're out somewhere public that you know the guys gonna be hangin at.
The minute the guy makes a move, slide the bat out of your sleeve, down into your hand and smack him good.

Who dumped who? If he dumped her then she's obviously going to want payback for the "hurt" she's had. And after about a week she'll get over it and tell her "hard" cousin to let him go

School is one of the easiest place to batter someone and get away with it. Don't know about your school but when we used to have fights at our school, a massive crowed would gather round and it would take the teachers ages to get to the back of the field to stop it and by the time they had got there everyone had scattered and no one would grass anyone up.

Whenever I've seen fights take place staff are usually extremely quick to respond. So much so that there is no need to grass anyone up because they're usually caught in the act. I think it depends where the school is located and the layout of the school.
You can't shadow your friend forever though so it might be a good idea to take a step back. It's not nice to have to watch your back I know that. Talking with the girl and sorting out any differences might be worthwhile. Just explain to her that he feels threatened and explain that he won't go anywhere on his own now. Tell her the affect that it is having on his life both at school and out of school. If she has a brain she'll think about.

Teachers dont even break it up in my school they just watch till its finished.
PaulParker
14-02-2008, 02:50 PM
That's not particularly good. I can understand teachers wanting to not get injured but at the end of the day the school has a duty to protect its pupils and if staff just stand and watch then they're not fulfilling that duty. I'm sure each school has staff who are trained to deal with these incidents. There's no excuse for standing back and watching the kids fight each other.

Ive seen when teachers do stand in the middle to break it up they end up being punched so i suppose its safer to just watch

Hmm, if he this girls cousin is so hard why dont you all just stand up to him and ive him his own medicine, trust me once a 'hard' person has taken a good beaten they quiten down.
Just my advice.

To be fair, Just ignore it but if he does square up to you dont stand down or run away stand strong and smack him back like said above.

FIGHT!
wherever they're 'hard' or not does not mean they're invulnerable
i fight with people who are much larger than me and are supposedly 'harder' but i always come out on top because i stand up 4 maself.
bigger they are harder they fall, ive always followed that and won :D
