Why is wtf the filtered, when we have words such as piss and ***** unfiltered? You can't really insult someone with it, and it's just like wth.

Because part of the work contains a word that is filtered. Although you make a valid point, if those words are unfiltered then I don't see why this shouldn't be.

Why use that word when you could use wth. The same goes with LMAO and the similar abbreviation including an F. It is just adding swear words pointlessly.

Yeah, you can just use wth, but I tend to use wt- more often then the other and it's annoying have to edit my post after because I didn't realise. And, like I said, it's not offensive and what not, so they should unfilter it.

the f word is more offensive than piss, that's probably why.

It is just adding swear words pointlessly. That's not really the point, the word in question is a commonly used phrase and shouldn't really be filtered purely because it contains another word that is in the forum filter. Furthermore I fail to see how the abbreviated word which causes this to be filtered to be offensive either, or much if any way of using it in an offensive way. The filter needs some serious revision, the way some of the words and phrases are used has changed since they were first added to the filter.

Hmmm, this isn't offensive I agree, but the F is, so it really depends on how the management see it and the majority of the forum really.

The council maybe getting a copy of the word filter to review, so we'll see what we can do :)

I used to really disagree with this but they do have a point because you are, in all fairness saying "what the ****?"

I agree with this. Abbreviations are more or less saying the word, just abbreviating it, it's just as bad imo. But I'm not going to argue (for) the point. It's really down to management what they think should happen in this situation, like always.

I think there are a lot/most people who would mean the alternative. :)

If you desperately want to use it, you could use the proper way of saying it: 'W.T.F.' That's how you would if you were sleeping with the English Language.
