Habbox Site

A member has mentioned the following for the council to consider:

'-Change up the colour scheme on the main site. The yellow is nice but it is very kind of 'blah' and doesn't really grab your attention.

-Have a button that allows you to un-disable the radio player on the main site after you've clicked the button to 'turn it off for 31 days'.'

What are others views please:)

that radio disabling thing will be very useful coz its dead annoying when you dont want it to come on! i think a light blue colour scheme would look lovely also :)

It would be useful to some members. I myself keep it on mute whenever possible, butto other users that sometimes listen, sometimes not would prefer it if it had a button to enable it after it has been disabled.

The whole site needs tinkering with, the layout doesn't shout out 'INTERESTING!' and is a total mess. But as far as I am aware they're in development for a new one.

I would like the idea of a new news system - Because you don't really pay much attention when its at the bottom of the screen.
It's the advert and rare values search box that kinda ruin it. The ad should be in a special area and the rare value search in its own table, possibly on the site.

I only go on for rare values and news sometimes.

Habbox main site needs a original layout.

:D. I don't use the site anyway so it wouldn't bother me but the layout has been same for ages and only the banner and a few images get changed for a 'new' layout every season anyway.

They should add more color into it, they have had that layout for years now and it is boring. The one they've got now is a free one so it shows that they don't have to splash out and get a designer etc. :P I'm sure someone on here would do it for a small price.

The radio button does seem like a minor but useful solution so maybe they should add something like that, it's nothing big anyway =]!

The theme is orange not yellow? And it was originally Blue and Orange like the Classic Forum Skin.

I remember MAD saying a new site layout is been created. Personally I think they should do something like Habbo Meadow. Joomla so its easy to edit but with an amazingly sexy and custom layout that is also modern.

I've been moaning about the Habbox Site Skin for ages. Why does no one pay attention to my great ideas. :'(

As I said before, changing the Site Skin to a more 'wow', attractive, appealing colour (instead of the current boring white one) will make Habbox look a whole lot better. The only reason 90% of people use Habbox is for the rare values, which they have to really. There isnt one person that can trade without the rare values. Since the skin is so dull, them people don't bother checking out anything else. They come for what they need and go. Because they think the contents, like the skin, will also be dull. If you were to change to a more snazzy skin, people might actually want to check out the rest of the site because it looks good. It's all about the way it looks. No ones going to check out something that looks crap, but they will check out something that looks nice. Changing the skin will also boost department 'visibility'. More people will be checking out the other things on the site, such as articles.

My logic is undeniable. Do what I say!

The site layout is something that we will be looking into changing. A new or updated layout for aesthetic improvement is on a list of things that need changing and at some point in the future I'm quite sure you will see this change but it wont be immediate. Keeping the content on the site updated in the most important factor at the moment, as well as adding new content but I do acknowledge this is something that needs doing and probably will be done in hopefully the not so distant future.

Also as for the radio player this is something else that we are looking to change. We are planning to introduce a new radio panel in order to improve listener experience and we will be again at some point in the future working on that. Both of these changes are not easy changes to make to the site but they will both be done, the changing of the layout is quite a large change and the changing of the radio panel is one that needs to be thought out to figure out the best way to go about this. As for the enabling of the radio once you've selected "turn off for 31 days" I don't know if I'm misunderstanding you but currently an option appears saying "Listen to HabboxLive" which allows you to re-enable the player? Maybe I'm getting confused at what your trying to say - correct me if I'm getting this wrong.

Well, the original suggestions were from me and I've played around with my cookie settings and it turns out that it was a settings issue (on my end) not an issue with the site. Thanks for pointing this out! Also, a big thanks goes out to Catzy for making the voice of the people heard - if only there were more people around like you :)

I liked the old layout the old habbo one, for Habbox.
What about having a skin chooser like we have on hhgs values ( im not going to link it because it will cause arguements) but its pretty usefull and works extremly well.

They're useless if you have images that only work with one theme. But I don't think Habbox have images like that, so it could work.

Not realy, Having the background changer is like having another webpage i think.

I mean like images with a shadow that is a darker shade of the page it is on. If you had the option to change the site skin to say, blue from orange, the iamges with a darker shade of orange would look out of place. But I don't believe Habbox have any iamges that having shading on to match the skin, so it shouldn't be a problem :)
