It might be a better idea to PM nvrspk4 directly about this as I believe that he deals with these sorts of issues. If this appears to be a mistake and you paid for your subscription then I'm sure a PM to nvrspk4 who deals with this will get a response quicker. :)

You need VIP to have a sub forum,
so if your not VIP, you lose it? no matter how long you got left on your sub forum?

We are removing all vip subforums after somebody's vip runs out, because we want to cut down on the number of subforums.

So have Habbox changed the conditions on owning a sub-forum? You've paid for it and you should still have it even though your VIP subscription ended. Otherwise they should of denied you the right to buy one. It's quite a con if they're selling VIP Sub-Forums to people who pay for a seperate VIP subscription.

Agreed, sounds a bit like false advertising to me.

It would be a waste of time suggesting to the council to get the high-ups to stop false advertising :P Because quite clearly, it shouldn't happen :P
This is something that needs changing ASAP.

No, the condition of old was that as soon as your VIP Subscription ended theoretically, your subforum was terminated.
However, when we made the change to having to buy a subscription, my resistance was that the members who already had VIP had bought it and had been promised a subforum as part of that VIP. MAD and sierk agreed, so anyone who had a subforum and VIP at the time the rule changed got to keep the subforum for the duration of their VIP.

I think even though he ran out of VIP he should've still got his subforum until that expires.

So you're conning people out of money? If people pay for a sub-forum and their VIP runs out before the sub-forum, they should be denied, automatically, with no argument, that sub-forum...

Gomme why buy a sub-forum knowing that your VIP is going to run out and
also knowing that a sub-forum is a VIP privilige? I am with Nvr on this one.

Why let people buy something when they will have it terminated before it expires? It's like telling someone they can have a car for a month, then getting it towed and crunched 5 days later :S
There should be a system in place that dis-allows VIPs from buying add-ons when it expires after the VIP, or let them keep the forum after being a VIP which makes no sense. Allowing them to do this shows unprofessionalism and no organised system is in place :S

I can see what you are saying but I only think that it's common sense to realise that if you buy a sub-forum then you need the VIP to cover it.
That's all. :)

lol indeed you should, but you should be told that you won't have the sub-forum for long. I guess a system that dis-allows it would be hard to make, vBs aren't designed for add-ons on add-ons as far as I know :P

I skimmed through the thread so I may of missed this but if he wasn't aware that the subforum was going to be removed and he was not warned of this then surely that is conning them out of their money.

i think what Nvr was trying to say was he knew when his VIP will end buy still got the subforum, and it does say on the Paid Subscriptions
Please note: Only VIPs can have this addon. If you are not a VIP, please select one of the VIP subscriptions above then return to this page to subscribe for this addon!
So its kinda of clear (to me) if i had VIP till the 5th and bought the sub forum on the 2nd then i'll have it for a few days unless i renew my VIP.
I get what nvr is saying,.

It's not really that clear, it says people who aren't VIP, not people who are VIP but it runs out before the sub-forum expires. It doesn't say you'll have it removed either.

Indeed, but you really should be warned about this. What happens when you buy VIP? Does it just happen or are you sent an e-mail/PM aswell to welcome you into the club? You could have a huge warning in the 'Subscribe to VIP' area, that may make it easier to deal with such issues.

That does sound like a bit of a con.. Can't you just 'Pause' his sub forum until he re-news his VIP?

Depending on the VIP editors as they have enough work, would this really be worth it.

I guess its up to them they can either pause it or have an un happy customer :(
The problem is he might not renew his VIP.
You should get 7 days to renew your VIP. If you don't it gets removed.
Thanks.

I have only read the first page, but what i've read is disgraceful.
Someone pays for a subforum, yet even though they have paid they can't have one because their VIP has run out. Seems like a con to me, and is not fair at all.

To be fair, that's the VIP Editors' problem. They shouldn't take more than they can chew. nvrspk4 has enough jobs as it is. They really should hire someone who can do the job without too much hassle, because clearly nvrspk4 doesn't have the time with being forced to do the council etc. etc.

And they shouldn't hire anyone who also have a load of jobs / a job that takes up a lot of time.

Precisely, it's best for everyone that way. Taking on too much jobs means each job you have has less attention, as clearly stated.

If I have 1 day VIP left and then by a sub-forum for a month it should stay there for that month as I paid for it for that long or else Habbox should refund me for the days left when closing my sub forum.
Maybe have a higher rate of VIP that includes a sub forum? then you get it from the start of VIP. I dont like the seperate purchase it was better as it was before but must admit everybody requesting them was a pain.
