God I hate Habbo :\
Right well, for around 1 year I was staff then later owned the Official Fansite Habbo-Paper.co.uk (which was made official in the first ever fansite month in 2001/2002). After a while, we decided to change the name of the Fansite to Mini-I.FM which myself and the other owner had been running for quite some time. (Mini-I.FM received hundreds more hits than the Official fansite and so we decided to move the official status over.).
We contacted Habbo about the change and carried on working on Mini-I.FM rather than Habbo-Paper.co.uk. After around 1 year of operating on Mini-I, the other owner of the site decided to quit Habbo and so as a result left the fansite aswell. After the other owner left, I decided to change the site's name once more to a more user-friendly name.
So, last December I opened HabboLake.com. An email had been sent around last summer to inform Habbo of the change and so we imagined it would all be sorted by christmas.
I woke up yesterday to find an email from Habbo (a few months late?..) telling me that my website was no longer allowed official status because we had "moved sites"! I was quite confused about this as many sites in the past have changed their names and so I emailed back asking why this time it is different. Habbo informed me that the rules have just changed (the last few days) saying that if a site's name is changed they lose official status.
Now, rules are rules I accept this. But what I am annoyed about is that I sent my email last SUMMER for the change and nothing happened. But you have may also noticed that HABBOGLOBE.fm changed it's name to HABBOHARMONY.net AFTER summer, but it was all done and dusted much earlier than christmas and so they were allowed their status.
So, because they dealt with a Fansite just because a member of staff works there (I imagine), before they dealt with my site (even though I contacted them earlier), I've lost my Official Status which the sites has been earning for almost SEVEN years now.
I don't see how this is fair that I lose my official status just because Habbo care about other sites more than mine...
*I have nothing against Doug, Tom or HabboHarmony, I'm just annoyed with habbo staff.
