As no negative, fairs fair. :D
You'll need a client developer team/very talented person, a management team and more staff.. It's not something anybody even bill gates can do on his own ;)
If you pay for a proper client dev team to build your client.. I'm sure you wouldn't need to pay any admins/managers etc as they'd all want it. I wanna be next ukchaseral k? jokes, but if you've got the money... you're half way there..

You're incorrect. If this person was a talented graphic artist and a talented lingo/java coder (s)he could easily do this on their own.
I agree though that if you have the money, you're half way there.

Thing is, HE (Yar! is really a boy named Alex)
doesn't have the money, takes it from someone else, then fires them.
etc.
Alex, I suggest you back down from the MMOCC market until you're ready to pay for stuff yourself.

I might be looking to work with another MMOCC. I have 4+ years experience within the market, and I am happy to help you out with this MMOCC. If you would like to send me a PM with your email address, I will get in contact with you further.
MMOCC's arn't as easy as they seem, and many months of work need to be put into a project to get a successful outcome. You MUST have money aswell. I am not talking about the odd £5 here, £10 there - you really need a min. of £250, that is what I spent on my MMOCC, and later sold it for a small loss.
Reading the above post, I suggest you supply proof of your money set aside.

Working with darren is a bit like trying to go on the titanic voyage after a history lesson. And Darren, 250 pounds is impossible.. you need a dedi... or five. if its halfway successful.

Your opinion on me is your right, however please lets not give others the impression when they don't know what I am like personally,. They have a right to use my services.
Also £250 is possible if you know the right people, which clearly this person and yourself do not.

Why not start with a texted based game and work your way up instead of diving in at the deep end?

Red, this is a nice idea however they use totally different structures, and it would be like starting a new IMCE anyway...

Anyhow, I look forward to hearing from you, and I hope we make a good team. If you would like to PM me your MSN address, or email it to
[email protected] that would be great.
I am looking for a project to focus on for 2008 :)

Yeah I see were you coming from but I'm not just talking about the programming but also the community, most people could learn a language and code a game if they had the money and the time, but only few could market that game successfully, having a go at a texted based game would give him some experience with this as well as showing him how hard it really is to create a successful game.
Good to have you back Tom!

You clearly have no idea what you are on about. You can easily run a client with a decent amount of users on a small VPS, the bandwidth is kept low because flash files are tiny.
Tom remember if you dare to change you avatar then I will get you

Probably not flash files, also I was under the impression he was going to be creating a high end MMOCC with shockwave director, not some isometric chatroom.

You do know that's what Habbo is?...lol.
Also, Myth it's not the flash files that use up the bandwidth its the server which will require a high amount of memory and cpu usage. The better the server is coded, the less server resources it requires. So obviously, if the server is badly coded, you'll require a higher spec VPS/Dedi.
Hypertext
15-02-2008, 11:22 PM
Indeed. I know habbo is an isometric chatroom, but I meant addons as in furniture etc.. Also it has got to be fast.. think about how fast you buy something in the catalog andhow fast you send a contact form.. they're performing about the same amount of operations but usually contact forms arn't on too high end servers ;P but do correct me if I'm wrong.. I'm not an mmocc fanatic and don't nose around it too much, but I hear there quite a few files needed.. also don't you need a few .dll's i think anyways. Also I think if you actually made a half decent mmocc everybody would flock to it, and you'd need more than a vps. CT used a vps at the start.. and they have 8k registered.. and most people have more than 1 name.

Okay. You can run a client on a small VPS, not 5 dedicated servers..
Maybe a VPS for the client, and a VPS for the database..

I am about tired of people like you, Darren has changed, most people can see that, as they no longer have a go at him.
Get over it.. he failed at a couple of projects, I have failed at so many, its not even funny anymore.

This project will not lift off, as you are a con artist.
You will scam the staff out of their money.
Now please, close this thread, and move out of this forum.
As I'm sure no-one will want to work with a fraud.

Mack? I've never used that name, I refer to my real name. Josh :)
Look at all my msns, my habbox user names.
Even credits on a site.
So, your little fake name, won't work.
& No, I have the right to free speech, so I will warn these people
that you are a fraud.
Edit: I know what you mean by Mack, you mean when I rung your house and spoke to your mum? :)

Suerte failed.
rangehost is failing.. when you first opened how many clients did you have: 0
Usually when something opens in the first 3 weeks you fly with customers, specially when you put effort writing it nicely.
Maybe she doesn't want you on the team which I would suggest.
