What other official fansites apart from the 2 radio sites get in-game site alerts?

No other official fansite gets alerts almost constantly saying 'Go to ____' driving traffic to their site. Only HabboHut and even more recently Habbo Harmony so of course with all the staff they have going onto their sites they would have been put as 'Gold Tier' - absolutely rubbish idea btw.

Favouritism amongst fansites is terrible and it is clear the staff favour radio sites as they are the only sites to ever get in game alerts. Universe has close ties with the majority of staff so can get them to alert his site almost every time he wants.

Soon there will be NO general sites or forum sites on the official list because they are not what the staff of UK prefer and their bias attitude really shows. This means the community will see their events because of the alert but other fansites do not get the recognition they deserve and are suddenly put into this rubbish ranking system.

It's a shame because YourHabbo, Habbo-Works and Habbos.net all do great campaigns now and then and are the better of the UK fansites though are all under appreciated and do not get the recognition and support by the staff they deserve.

Habbo.net should not even be on the list - all they have is an RSS feed?? :s

Errrrr, welcome to the forum. Also, its not that hard to get an alert... You just got to ask a staff member to do it. HelKat used to do alerts all the time for anyone she knew if they asked so its not a big deal...

Yes, totally what I was thinking! If one official fansite should get an alert; then they should all do - or maybe a monthly alert would only before the two top gold fansites; as an incentive maybe? But then again, that theory is demolished because the top-two are almost certainly going to be occupied by the staff owned fansites, who are going to have no regard for any other fansite, because all they worry about is them being "known" on a game for teenagers.

Now call me stupid if i'm wrong, but what NORMAL Habbo's would be able to get such prizes, and willingly give them away? Not many; that's for damn sure, so how the hell do Habbo give their Staff the right to willingly show bias to so many fansites, by exploiting the system and giving away furniture in competitions on their own fansites? Now to me, that seems pretty screwed up, do you agree?

Yes I agree, I also don't know how HabboHut has been voted in the top 2, with their being around 12 listeners when a DJ goes on now, it is never as popular as it used to be around 2 years ago when the number of people listening would be around 200.

I also agree with HabboHarmony, since on the scene, I posted a few weeks back how they have had more hotel alerts for that single fansite in the past two months than any other fansite has .. i never see sites like Habbos.net or Yourhabbo.co.uk getting alerts when they host events? The fact the site is owned by two Habbo Staff obviously gives them better opportunities, and yes the fact they gave out a set of dragons with their staff tools was just abusing their tools for there own benefit. Habbo Fansites should not be afficilated with Habbo Staff and they shouldn't be able to "own" one, for the reason that that site would turn out better than the rest due to the privilages that staff have available to them.

0rca does not own HabboHarmony.....

Also, the Dragon set was provided by ex-hobba Lincognito off her OWN account Lincognito. Lost_Witness made it very clear that Akela! is not EVER allowed to give Furniture off her staff account under any circumstances.

Well done to winners, Definatly deserved. I've decided not to read other 3 pages of posts as their probs full of jealous comments! Habboharmony deserved to win as they are the best fansite at the moment.

They opened like 2 months ago and not being funny but they have broke rules like every other fansite Like for instance universe tells people to shout habbo harmony in public rooms etc and that basically means flood, They only got gold offical because staff work on them. Sites like HFFM And Habbox should of got offical for sticking to the rules ? Im not trying to pick a fight but they barely ever break the rules and it seems VERY unfair that habboharmony have been open what 2 months and there suddenly GOLD OFFICAL its ** and you know it is. TBH, I like Habbox a lot but it probably breaks every rule in the book. Official Fansites can't post future updates without Habbos permsion and Habbox does all the time. Not meant to be abusing but just look at the forum. Habbox won't ever become official again IMO, even though I do want it to be official.

Also, staff can't give furni from there accounts out. They have to pay for it, for example MOD-Omega often does credit giveaways, but he pays for it himself and doesn't use his MOD credits.

Telling your listeners to go into other rooms and shout the fansite name isn't flooding. It's just like me going into a room and shouting "HELLO GOTO www.GOOGLE.COM" once, is that flooding?
The only reason they are gold official is because of the recent fansite poll, and if other sites do work hard to get the official status, they can get it every 3 months now.

It's only had 2 since it's been open. The only reason a fansite will get an alert is if it has a current HABBO staff event running on the website. In habboharmony's case because i do safety shows with Redtiz (NOT JUST ON HABBOHARMONY) we have some planned on unofficial fansites. So i don't get off where you say we get them all the time.

Me and redtiz did a radio show on; clubhabbo, hffm, habboxlive, habbohotelfm, and others.. AND THEY GOT AN ALERT.... remember? And i still owned an official fansite at the time. Habboglobe.fm was renamed to habboharmony.net.

If you want a staff radio show or an event on your fansite, bloody ask a habbo staff, instead of posting pointless rubbish.

tom, if you couldn't careless then ignore him. I dont think your in the wrong considering as I voted for HabboHarmony. HabboHarmony has a quite big following and personally from my point of view I think it's the best fansite out at the moment, it's entertaining ect.
At the end of the day whatever fansite gets the golden tier there will always be arguments and disagreements between other fansites considering I think its jealousy.

But at the end of the day congratulations to the 2 fansites which received gold status but I hope the status get changed like every month so it's more like an acheivement to fansites then a badge.

Infact, I think it was updated just recently. I personally don't see the point in making Gold Tier and Silver Tier it just spilts fansites up even more. Firstly you need to get on official, now they split up offical fansites who worked just as hard to get there and make only 2 of them get more recongized.

Personally, I think that staff should NOT be allowed to own a fansite as it will obviously spark suspicion of bias within the hotel. (I do personally believe that if a staff member is part of a fansite, then they will get a sort of special treatment - as in more regular alerts etc.).


And i still owned an official fansite at the time. Habboglobe.fm was renamed to habboharmony.net.What annoys me about this is, because you have a member of staff on your site other Official fansites; eg. Mine, are looked down on and not considered as important. I think this because (as I'm sure you know Tom), my site's fansite URL and name was not updated - even though we requested our change before you (I'm SURE of this)...then when staff finally answer our email(s) (like after months?) they tell us we CAN'T change our information as we have been removed as the fansite rules have changed that week (or something stupid like that) regarding site changes... But wait a minute...if they had looked after the fansites properly and updated their information in order then there would have been no problem, as my Fansite would have already been updated on the official list along with yours I'm sure. But sadly, no, they decided to change another once first.

I don't blame you Tom for this issue and don't think it's your fault. I just think the fact staff are getting too involved with fansites (by owning them...) is a part of the problem.

I dislike clubhabbo because of the idiots you get on the forum, but credit where its due! it is a very successful and entertaining fansite

HabboHarmony hasn't been open long, and im quite sure its recent success owes allot to some habbo staff using it whereas sites like clubhabbo built up a thriving radio and community over years of hard work – and it isn't rewarded?Exactly my thoughts on the entire matter and ClubHabbo ;)

Fansites are no longer all about being 'Fans' of Habbo hotel, it's about being official and following rules. Habbox likes to differ therefore it probably explains it's originality and popularity :P

Sorry to double post but I waited for about half an hour and nobody is even viewing this section :P.

I don't want to sound ungratful after winning the HabboHarmony Challenge but I also don't want to sound like a suck-up, however I do want to develop on my earlier brief post on this topic.

Firstly, I'm not sure when HabboHarmony began but I think it was well after Christmas when I first heard of it. I believe it has one of the best radios in terms of its DJs although I think its music selection is extremely poor. I rarely hear a soing I like (I think Rockstar by Nickelback is the only one but that's over-plaid (omg off topic: it just came on the TV as I'm writing this! :D)) and I regularly hear the same pop songs over and over even in the same day :P.

Moving onto its events, to be honest the HabboHarmony Challange was the only one I have enterted and I obviously can't complain. However I'm slightly disappointed that the "exclusive Gold VIP that will never be released" on the forum, which I still don't have (nor do I have the two staff trophies), is now on sale for a whole week :S.

On the topic of Habbo staff and fansites. I'm not sure why a Sulake employee would waste their time with an almost non-profitable organisation. However, it's quite frankly none of my business. Nevertheless, when fansites immediately gain official status and sunddenly have bucket-loads of super rares to dish out and also happen to be co-owned or at least afilliated with Habbo staff, it does obviously raise suspicions. This is also extremely unfair on the likes of Habbox who in most peoples' minds, was the first fansite they ever heard of yet still remains unofficial.

However, after visitng most of the listed fansites, I did in fact vote HabboHarmony slightly higher than the others (I think I did so for Habbo-Works and Habbos.net too). This is because I have had good experiences with these sites and their staff and enjoy them generally. The other sites' votes were mainly judged by layout and content at a glance which while I'm on the topic, I think is one of HabboHarmony's weaker points.

On the other hand, I do enjoy playing the occasional game on HabboHarmony's forum and can only congratulate it for its quick success. Let's just hope it doesn't go to their heads and that they keep their positive reputation unlike ClubHabbo which by the way, I still don't really know why their's declined.

Yes, another excellent valid point - remember the rules Callie set? Change your fansite owners and/or site URL, and you will be removed; we didn't recieve any e-mails saying this policy had changed, so why was he suddenly allowed?

And I forgot to quote Robald's post, but yes, I also agree with you (most of it, anyway), but yes, suddenly becoming official with lots of Habbo Staff envolvement, lots of super rares etc. - it does look very bias.

It's not against the habbo way to advertise. However, Habboharmony Staff insist when advertising not to flood the room as it is against the habbo way.

Habboharmony came top of voting polls, if you wanted HFFM to become official you should of got people to vote for them. Habboharmony has had a few Alerts on the Hotel. No more than 5 since it opened so i hardly see how it gets one "every 2 minutes". It is very obvious you are jealous of HabboHarmony because it is Gold Tier Official and HFFM is not.

Also people saying Habboharmony is official because Staff work there. This is partly true because: Habbo Staff know the Fansite Way inside out. They implement this on the Site unlike many other fansites who just guess at the Fansite Way. Official fansites must be secure and follow all the rules. I hear countless swear words on radios etc yet these people still complain about not being selected by Habbo.
