We should receive an email, because I don't know why I am cautioned and I won't know until I am un cautioned so I can read the PM/

Just though something so stupid like an email will help us a lot.

"Every little helps"

I'm also well aware of how I can check, I just still think the email would help.

Why would you need an email when you know how you can check the ban reason :S

Well unless an administrator was to manually email you, you wouldnt recieve an email, however, I maybe something else could be done to let you see your ban reason.

common courtesy?

Yeah but you can see your ban reason when you log in and try view someone's profile etc. It seems stupid to add the extra work of an email :S

Yeah I was cautioned without anyone pming me saying I'm being cautioned, heh. That's because PM's don't work when you are cautioned! If you are unsure, you can always post in the 'Ask A Forum Moderator' section. :)

I didn't think you got the reason for why you were cautioned when you log-in. Surely that only happens with bans?

The reason should be displayed when you try to edit something in your User CP. I know the reasons are fairly straight forward and don't actually give you all the details you might need, but you should be able to work it out.

It would be nice if there was a possible convenient way to inform users of their caution reasons. But like it has been suggested. You can use the contact us, if you need further information on it or wish to appeal.

I was going to suggest this myself.

E-mail? Considering you must register with a real e-mail address to join the forums.

That is indeed what I'm talking about. But that has already been brought up in this thread. And I believe, it can only be done manually. As Jin has pointed out, there could be another convenient way of telling members.

There isn't really any other way, unless it appears in the User CP. PM system won't work, because it's disabled. Can't vBulletins e-mail from the the Mod CP?

You cant read PMs when your cautioned

Anyway, check ban reason clicking on someones forum profile.

The way of which I am speaking of would have to be manual. But you are right, there isn't any other way than email. And I do not think we will have a thread system where everyone can see who has been cautioned, that would be going against our own rules of discussion ban details on the forum. The Moderator CP does not have the ability to send emails, only the Administrator CP does. But since we aren't Admins, I don't see us getting access to that area. Thus getting that access at all. You'll have to keep with the contact us form.

Maybe make a forum just for SuperMods/admins and the thread starter, so you can ask them why your banned ^_^

You get banned on facepunch rather than infracted, 24 hours, 7 days etc. In there you can complain and do all other stuff but only you, admins/mods and goldmembers can see it.

I've tried to remove all the rude words, mods can you just remove instead of infacting me if I missed one. Cheers

why should they be curtious enough to send you an e-mail when you weren't curtious enough to follow the rules?
