Before going to bed tonight I have decided to release the new version of TehUpload.
Not all of it is functional, you can just upload as of now.
http://www.tehupload.com/
Check it out!
If you do not have flash enabled, I am sorry, the static uploader will be put in place tomorrow! :)

Hope you enjoy it, the flash uploader might look "ick" at the moment, but it took some work to get it that far (never used flash before :P.)
Hopefully we can make it look better.

I love the flash in it, great job.
Just out of curiosity: why does the 'browse' box look weird/different?

Very nice :)
Good work :p
EDIT: Ive noticed a potential problem. I presume the http://tehupload.com/index.php?action=mrecent AJAX only gets the latest entry to the database?
What if 2 people are uploading at once the images could get muddled and they both get wrong image codes?

Couple of things....
1. Nice logo
2. Loading bar (for uploads)?
3. Multiple uploads at once?
Oh, and most importantly - this is what bugs me the absolute most....
PNG TRANSPARENCY IS NOT SUPPORTED IN IE6!!
THAT'S 30% OF INTERNET USERS!!
TRY SOME CSS HACKS...

Tell that to the endless users of IE6. If you're not going to be cross-browser compatible stop designing, and stop designing such horrible layouts for Caleb, you can do a hell of alot better than that.

For the CEO of an 'up and coming' web development firm I would have to say that's a terrible way to design/think. The idea behind the web is to connect people - and when designing for the web you need to take into account the differences between people, systems, browsers, and etc. in order to make high quality designs.

Thank you, I agree.
P.S. Not all users can/want to upgrade to IE7 due to either hardware issues (not enough RAM) or for other reasons.

It is done by an IP address, for now that is the only way I can see to do it. It selects the latest image uploaded by that IP, ordered by the ID.

I'm in agreement with Blob, also, whoever coded the site is terrible at xhtml & css. Your navigation should take use of ul and li. Right now your code is nothing more than a div pie.

Listing navigations makes no difference to simply using the anchor within CSS. So Ryan please never post in threads relating to my sites again. You're not welcome in them as all you want to do is find any little detail that is wrong and make it a big deal. Just because you couldn't out do me in the past no need to keep moaning everytime I make something that out does your work. Grow up small boy.

Awfy you can't stop him posting in your threads and its opinon. Just because its a load of crap doesn't give you the right to tell him what to do.
You do not own this forum.
Lot better way that will save you bandwidth is if you used AJAX properly. Use PHP to generate a XML document that the page requests using AJAX. Then use DOM to alter the text boxes as appropriate using the results from parsing the XML.

Actually, using lists and such make for cleaner coding, you don't use any paragraph tags or lists. I'm merely being constructive on how you can improve :)
Once again, your behaviour is not what I'd expect from someone who is supposed to be starting a professional web development company, please, learn to take C+C from whoever it is, if you ever want to make it, live with it.
Out do you in the past? On what? I'm a little lost now. Please divulge some more details, I don't think you've ever had a successful project.

I am not that great at AJAX, still learning.
I did this in about 10 minutes, I will look in to what you said though :)
I really like it.. But there's one thing that i don't like with it.. That when you put something there, it uploades direct.. What if you've pressed the wrong file?

In my opinion, the design is on the border of simplicity and just poorly designed.
Furthermore, your attitude towards feedback is totally uncalled for, we do not have to give constructive criticism, not by any stretch of the imagination. As a designer you should respect people's views and make note of them unlike what I've seen throughout this thread.
I'm not perfect myself and I know that, and from what I've seen neither are you.
I'm not trying to attack you, just trying to point out what most people are saying.
Regards, James.

Anything apart from constructive criticism is pointless for a designer.

"I dislike the colour scheme."
From that you now know that you can improve on the colour scheme, you could change it, ask the person who said it to say what colour schemes they think would work better, and so forth.
The only criticism I have not taken very well is REDNECK's about the file size ;)
Read my last post.
Regards, James.
Greg, I thought you always said you didn't want to use background images with an <a> tag, as, in your words 'It's less effective in the older browsers'? - and you'd rather use the onclick attribute.
I have no idea if it is less effective or not.

I can just picture him talking with an unhappy client..... It's not an ugly design, you just have bad taste!
Anyway, you just need to realize that all these people who you're ingoring will be the ones using the service - and if they don't like it/think the owner or creator is being a little stuck up and ignoring their suggestions that he asked for in the first place then why would they bother using it?
Just a thought... cater to your audience.

Hmm are you using a proxy or anything?
The problem is that it is a security error which goes along with this I believe:
"System.security.allowDomain"
If you are using a proxy it probably won't work, or anything that hides your IP.

What browser are you using? I am still trying to debug this.
The flash file just checks the extension, then it goes to PHP which checks deeper into it, so there are still some bugs to work out.

Refresh and try it again, IOError means Input Output Error, it couldn't connect to the server, or couldn't find the upload location.
I may have been saving one of the site files (FTP) during that time, try it again :)
Oh wait, the uploader on the home tab doesn't work, but if I go to the Uploader section it works o.0 ;)
