Hey

I know many people on here are good with running forums and some own very professionally ran forums that are very successful. My forum started out great and I thought it would be a major success, recently it has been very inactive with about 10 members logging on every 24 hours.

The vicious circle is that people wont register to an inactive forum therefore the forum stays inactive.

If anyone can post any helpful information like where to advertise, improvements that can be made etc please post them and it will be very appreciated.

Thanks

Joe

My forum is http://www.speaklife.co.uk if you want to take a look :)

general forums often fail unless you have million of users already intrested before it starts.

Personally the name is bad, and the style. let alone the billion habbo nerds!

Advertise else where, don't advertise on habbo forums, advertise on other large forums.

join www.teenhut.net ;)

Not all the members play habbo and we already changed names once :( Thanks for the advice :)

I'm registered and it's a pretty decent forum! I'd like to see it get popular so good luck with it all. :)

I think a good thing to do is to refer your friends from school and get them to post a lot.
That'll make the forum seem more active and will also make a few more users register if they think the forum is quite active :D

Try doing competitions, it's only a domain

iteenforum.co.uk

Try advertise on that domain too, give like a presentation when advertising and what you can offer.
Remember your aim is to be a teenforum so maybe get some teenage gudies and help advice etc.
Offer links.

Choose a better name i think, but see what other people have to say before spending money.
I think the layout looks really fresh and funky :P Which can only attract members.

Get some content.
Build 100 backlinks, socal networks, and submit your site to any search engines, you can find.

build 100 links a day and you'll see results.

I think to have a general forum you need to have atleast 300 pounds behind you for comps for one year, You need to get people intrested from school do cheap advertising in school in ict tell people about it as of such!
