View Full Version : IMPORTANT - What are some of the best designed habbo fansites?
KevinUD

I am going to attempt to create a habbo fan site layout to sell to all your guys and girls on here. I read more then 50 posts of people selling crappy habbo templates that are all ripped from other fansites. I have decided to try to make a new one which one lucky person on here will be able to buy for habbo and/or cash.
Before I can get started I would like to know what are some of your favorite habbo designs... Not so I can rip them, I want an Idea of waht will sell and was is expected for a standard habbo layout. ex. how many columns, sections, ect.
LET ME KNOW

If the site's slow for you then VM must be terrible as it loads fine for me and other people. Also on-topic I think the new HL design is better.

So? You're not the one who has their designs and ideas copied time and time again. I'm entitled to my own designs rather than people just using them.

Lol what a nice way to reply.
It goes slow for me too. So your saying "well get a better computer". Wow, that's going to get you far isn't it Invent?
I stand by my words as you are a immature child who 's feet are too big for your own shoes.
Nice development you have Invent, not a professional habbo layout when it doesn't work for users does it? As least try and edit it to make it work for other users instead of telling them to go get a better VM.
Seriously, grow up or get to college/school and learn about this.

So your telling us you don't get any influence by looking at other sites and bringing them all together into one?

TheHabbo wasn't influenced by any other site and before you say "It's like the Habbo site" it's not. The design style is entirely different and the shading/shadowing is better. I was the original person to start using the grey and white outlines for entire layouts. Now basically every new fansite layout made uses that.

I stand by my words as you are a immature child who 's feet are too big for your own shoes. For one, I may be a child - I'm 16 but I do not act like a child. "who 's feet are too big for your own shoes", what are you on about now?

Could you please make that line make sense.
"not a professional habbo layout when it doesn't work for users does it?" - I've never stated it's professional

Seriously, grow up or get to college/school and learn about this.I'm going to college to study Computer Science and Mathematics/Programming next year, so trust me I'll be knowing a lot more than you.
Seriously Sarith, stop trying to tell me what to do when you have no idea what you're talking about.

I've taken "images" I haven't taken "design". The design of TheHabbo was the first to be like that, only images I have taken from Habbo were content, icons and the hotel in the logo.

Do NOT under any circumstances use any idea from this site. If indeed it is made by Awfy then he is one of the [i won't say it] designers/developers who refuses to code for IE6 and is therefore leaving out up to 50% of his possible audience.
Anyway I do like the look of the HabboLake but I agree with Dan that on the first load it is a little slow and the AJAX pageload is a little laggy in terms of resizing the main content box.

TheHabbo looks good but I think the boxes waste too much space especially when the post is a few words. You have to do a hell of a lot of scrolling!
Good design but impractical to use.
You could use animation/flash in your deisgns, those always work as an advantage.

TheHabbo is being coded for IE6 and below also, if you actually bothered to check the site you'd would have known that.

No doubt I will get harassed/shouted out for saying this but that just looks like the BETA web 2.0 Habbo layout that they were going to use before they changed it a little?
Most of the so called web 2.0 layouts people post here look exactly like that now so there isn't really a point in making an layout like that.
YourHabbo and Habbo-works both have modern layouts which they pull off really well and are easy to use. But my favourite layout is on http://www.habbowow.com/ as it may look dated but it still looks very sleek, is easy to use and well looks good.

What is it with you. Your designs are simple but yes they are effective. If you designed a technical layout my guess is it would suck. Your only good at simple designs. Now get off habboxforum and start driving your own sites into the ground, please.

Lol, I started with complex designs and moved into simplicity designs. As I prefer to work with CSS rather than images due to the ease of updating. So don't give me bull about me not being able to work with technically designed layouts as that's where the majority of my experience is and where I made most of my money.

Just look at nonhabbo layouts and try make those sort of layouts into habbo..
it will work.
Someone else *not naming* done it and looked excellent, just added habbo images etc and had one nice layout.

I started way before Habbo fansites, I was designing for 2 or 3 years before I even joined Habbo. So give it up :)

Lets see some of these "complex" designs then?
Dan-WHUK
19-02-2008, 04:35 PM
So you started designing at 11 / 12?
19-Jan-2005 - 3 years ago you joined Habbo. You are 17
17-3 = 14 - 3 = 11
So 11 / 12 is near enough correct :l
Lets see some of these "complex" designs then?
As you know I code and design at the same time so unless a website is online which I produce the design for then you won't be seeing them. One of which was Kurbed and then Kurby who both had two different designs which were complex and advanced. Pretty sure a couple of people saw Kurbed before it was replaced by Klydo.
Also I started when I was about to move into High School as my uncle opened his first website and got me interested. So I would of been about 10/11, which sounds young but people like Blob are young and look what they can do.

Ok,
Thisthreadisntimportant.com ??
TheHabbos.com, I say no:
Greg will kick and scream because you used the same font as him,
I don't take a particular intrest in Habbo fansites, but, yes HabboLake,
might have a slow loading speed, but it's still a fansite, if I had to choose,
would be my preferred one.
Edit: Greg just cried at me on MSN, with very harsh language, over a little post.
I was in no way insulting you Gregory, but, tch, you childish boy!

I've known Luke for ages, he used to beg to work on my habbo fansites with me. Then whenever I fired him he'd say he wouldn't be back, so guess what, he came back begging again.
He never could code or design and constantly sent me junk I didn't want of things he was designing or coding.

Greg, you are not a high & mighty coder, or so famous, and going to be on the next cover of "Heat" because you work with Caleb, and I find it hard to believe, you just learn CSS, like a pro from guessing the syntax?
& you were a noob once, [No offence Luke] so, back off and realise, this:
You are still infact a loser.
Yeah, I'll get flamed for this, but I'm sick of you pretending to be "Web God"
Just because you get to work with CALEB [Oooooooooooooooooo]
