Has anyone seen this? Received numerous awards so certainly seems to be worth a watch. If it's as good as No Country for Old Men I'll be happy. :)

A completely different film with absolutely no association to No Country For Old Men. Why the mention?

I found this film to be so-so. The dialogue is often rediculous and fragmented, and the plot is, for the most part, dull and uninteresting. Daniel Day Lewis' performance is the only thing worthwhile with this film; it's what saves it from being a complete dud.

i think no country is a better film, but Daniel Day Lewis will get the award for best male role.

No Country For Old Men deserves the Oscar for Best Film over There Will Be Blood simply because it is in a different league to that of the latter. Lewis however, deserves the Oscar for Best Male Leading Role for carrying the film on his shoulders.

i dont know which one i liked more. they were two very different films really. i loved the bulk of no country for old men, but i wasn't impressed with the ending. there will be blood on the other hand, while it definitely had it's slow parts, the ending was absolutely incredible.

either way, daniel day lewis deserves best actor.

Paul Thomas Anderson is an amazing director, hopefully this will live up to his earlier films.

I thought the acting was pretty decent, but it's still a film about oil, and it gets tedious at times with the storyline seeming to stand still and not progress. Plus it's like 180+ minutes long, geez.

it's a rip that jonny greenwood was disqualified from best original music because some of the stuff he used wasnt written for the film.
