How does everyone buy them, you see like 13 year olds running really good habbo sites using vBulletin and a paid host, how do you all afford them if you dont mind me asking.

Isn't it like 50 quid for a license? A few quid a month for hosting? It's not that much. :)

Well its £40 for a year license, or £90 for a perm license. Web hosting i suppose isnt that much.
But how do people pay for it, paypal?

It gradually all adds up i mean last year for HHGS i pay paying atleast 30 quid a year for all bits and bobs now im in the + and i can afford to buy stuff onto, But if you were running a diffrent site you would maybe bank that money, Just something i dont do. :]

True, meh, im thinking of getting one, but the thing is, you pay for the license and web hosting, no one goes on the site, thats what the problem is for me.

do what hhgs is doing then.
it doesn't take a long time to make your forum the best.... and of witch has loads of users...
a forum starts of slow with low amount of posts... then get a seo or something to competely make your forum active..

At the momment if your thinking about running a habbo forum, Dont do it. You'l never get in the game. if you want a habbo site you will have to make it extremly unique ether way its going to be pretty hard nowdays to get into the Habbo fansites

www.hhgs.net
9000 unique hits pls.
Mate i woulnt even try it would seriously be a waste of your money, Im telling you now ;P
No point making a vB forum as they're exspensive and it's hard, if your site isn't that popular to get the money back/earn profit.

True, but i may do it for another popular online racing team im with, which we already have our own free servers which are brilliant because we know the guy who hosts them. I dont know what we could do without him. So i may be able to get a vB and host it on that.
/me thinks it out.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice guys :)

What i'd do if i was you is make a forum its unique i mean Saurav who used to be a smod on here was just a common kid whos like 16-17 atfirst saurav.co.uk was a little like eportfolio then he thought o il make a like torrent forum and now he gets over 3000 people logging in a day i mean its still not a bad idea making a torrent site while you can but if you can think of something thats so unique expect the best :]

Yer, its all good, im currently using a free Zetaboard for our forum on our team, but i think a vBulletin would make it look totally more proffessional.
