Investigation

Its been a while now since the headlines of this website being offered £8.5million hit our doorsteps but it still hasnt gone over our heads.
The managing director of the website, Nickolas coates stated that the website gets " £2,500 a month ". After looking over the website and the advertising prices, it doesnt look like it gets over £700.
Number of advertisements on website: 5
Advertisers: Dell, Skype, HMV, Namecheap and Cinemawiki.
total cost: £650
I will investigate further to see if Dell, skype, HMV and namecheap did actually buy advertising packages.
I Know someone who used to actually advertise on the website and to be honest, there website didnt benifit expect it lost around £100.
So, why would the bbc offer £8.5million for a website that gets around £7,800 a year.
This website is owned by Nickolas coates, who also owns dacmultimedia.
Whats your thoughts?
