Its been a while now since the headlines of this website being offered £8.5million hit our doorsteps but it still hasnt gone over our heads.

The managing director of the website, Nickolas coates stated that the website gets " £2,500 a month ". After looking over the website and the advertising prices, it doesnt look like it gets over £700.

Number of advertisements on website: 5
Advertisers: Dell, Skype, HMV, Namecheap and Cinemawiki.
total cost: £650

I will investigate further to see if Dell, skype, HMV and namecheap did actually buy advertising packages.

I Know someone who used to actually advertise on the website and to be honest, there website didnt benifit expect it lost around £100.

So, why would the bbc offer £8.5million for a website that gets around £7,800 a year.

This website is owned by Nickolas coates, who also owns dacmultimedia.

Whats your thoughts?

Agreed, they don't even get more than 1000 hits a month (unique), they're crap and I haven't even heard of them since someone told me about them changing from sharpenews about 394032948 months ago. And seriously, they wouldn't buy it for that amount of money. It's got the worst design I've ever seen. And the worst reporters too.

Well iGOboy, I'm a billionaire.

8.5 million is a huge amount, even for the BBC. If they bought it out then there'd be atleast some press coverage.

Luke's mum, Liz, a dinner lady, and his dad Ian, an optician, both 42, say they let him run the business under his own steam without meddling.

That was off of that site, his name's Nick though?
