I got a message on my laptop pop up about sharing the media on my computer. I didn't know what it was referring to, but I allowed it anyway. That was a few hours ago, now I just went on my PS3 and it's got Windows Media in a box for Photos, Video and Music. It's picked up my Pictures, Music and Video folders on my laptop and I can view them all on my TV with the PS3, so I can have my own wallpapers and such. I've never had this happen before, and my laptops always near the PS3, I didn't know that the PS3 could wirelessly pick up computers!?

If they're on the same wireless / wired network, and you have Windows Media Player or things like TVERSITY, then yeah, your PS3 can pick it up and stream it over the network :)

I've got it going on mine... its' useful :P

Yeah i noticed this a few months ago. I always pick up my sisters media centre stuff ;l
