I decided I want to check my old E-mail account today, but I cannot remember my password for it, it would appear. (It's a @hotmail.com ID)

Thing is, this has happened before, and I've retrieved it before, but I forgot to write down what the password was changed to (which is what I do with passwords now.. call me sad if you like ;))

I also can't remember the answer to my secret question, let alone even remembering to define a secret question!

Is there anyway I can get the password re-set and sent to my new E-mail address? Because my old E-mail is likely to have a fair few e-mails which I should of read a while back.

Cheers if you can help (+rep if possible, also)

It seems like your stuck and the only thing i could suggest is to harass hotmail by email and see what your chances are or getting it returned.

Good luck.

As above, but give them your IP address and ask them to do an IP check, to verify that you own the account.

To find out your IP address, check out this (http://www.whatsmyip.org/) website.

Good luck.

Cheers for that, but my IP address has changed so much since I used that E-mail it would be a failed attempt. I do appreciate the advice though!

When I forgot my PW, I e-mailed HM Support. There alright actually, took a few days, but I got it back. (They ask for a LOT of info)
