'The club are saddened that such fantastic game of football has been marred by a serious injury sustained to Arsenal player Eduardo.

Martin Taylor is adamant that there was no malicious intent in the tackle and is deeply upset by the extent of Eduardo's injury.

Having reviewed the incident this is clearly the case and the Club and Martin Taylor would like to send their very best wishes to the Eduardo for a speedy recovery.'

From were i was sitting i could see there was nothing malicious about the tackle but the injuries he has are very bad and i think he will be out for a good 9 months. Get well soon Eduardo

update: Well from this photo it looks bad

He should at least be fined even if he didnt mean it, If I break a window accidently I still have to pay for it.

I agree he should only play football when Eduardo plays football as well.

He has probably single-handedly ruined his career.

That was by no means a fantastic game of football, unless you think two sets of traumatized players and Gallas going insane was a great match.

I hope Eduardo recovers and plays again next season.

It doesn't look like it could ruin his career. He might be off for atleast 8 months and they'll put the bone back into place and he'll be better. Mind you he might need a screw put in or something. If that's the foot he kicks the ball with he's screwed.

Why is every1 going crazy at talyor, i actually feel really sorry for him aswell. If you watch reply at normal speed you can clearly see that he goes for tackle and edwardo is clearly much to quick for him and out does him. It was a Mistake, mistakes happen! i know the injury could ruin his career but its not like he waas running in from 10m back shotuing i am guna break your legs. The fact is he didnt mean to do it and should personally be fined for tackle and have match bans for red card. Just becuase he plays for arsenal doesnt mean every1 has to in my opinion overact slightly, whats done is done, if this happened to a lower level club and one of high team clubs did tackle i can garente you lot would be saying it wasnt his fualt ect.
