I took a break from the public room i'm doing (cos its squishing my brain) to make a simple little globe - took like 5 mins.

Hmm, as it only took you 5 minutes I think you should have worked a little longer to make it look better.
There are many pixel errors which makes it look dodgy and weird.
Try to make it better by spending more time and effort in the alt. ;)
