Hey basicially im really paranoid because i have an appointment a week this friday to get my brace put on but i had the orthodontist check up about a month ago now and they booked an appointment to put on a week this friday but in the space between a month ago and now 2 teeth have fallen out and ive had one taken out but it i had it taken out because it was infected, like 2 weeks after the checkup so i had it taken out. so ive been waiting like 4 years to have this brace but theyve always sent me home saying come back next year but this time im actually getting the brace and im scared they will say ar unlucky we will have to fit the brace again and come back in a month ;l then i will be really annoyed. so tell me if u know what will actually happen?
It varies with the person, good luck.

It might delay it, if they say come back - persist and say its really embarrassing for you and you want it done sooner and they do actually make it quicker

Braces don't hurt all too much. Your teeth ache for about 2 days and you cant chew much but that's it.
:l The most annoying thing is when food get stuck in them

I think they migh delay it not sure though, not much help i kno.
But it isn't the worst thing. It probs wont make a huge difference to your life, just nothing chewy thats all, but as you said in another thread you want to get fit so no sweets anyway;)
And liek above said, it will ache first couple of days but after will be fine. And it is a short period of time for long lasting straight perfect teeth so as annoyed as you might end feel just be patient, it will happen when it happens.:)

Mine did every know and then but only because i ate chewing gum and other cheewy sweets so they ended up getting broke alot:rolleyes:
Hmm, they might have to delay your brace fitting if the teeth that came out were the "trouble causers"

Yea, you can't have braces when you still have baby teeth.....
For start you will fix your teeth then they will fall out and grow squw-iff again.
And when they do fall out they will still be attached by a brace, and that just wierd....

They dont hurt.
Like some have already mentioned, you may get a minor ache - nothing serious.
And the ache only lasts a couple of days.
Good luck with them.
xo
It takes 45 minutes, you don't feel it hurt or anything when it's getting out on.. The next 2 - 3 days your teeth will really ache and it will hurt for you to bite down. It's nothing after that though ;).
My brace only ached when tightened/fixed/2 -3 after it was put on.
It never cut my mouth at all lol.
I don't follow the rules - I drink coke, chew chewing gum, eat sticky sweets, i'm OK. Only broke it like 4 times in like 4 months lmao. It wasn't due to what I was eating/drinking though.

it can hurt for some people - but they give you wax (i think)
i had my brace on for about 2 years, and it was fine
when it was tightened, my teeth ached for about 2 days after, but then it was fine again :)
bloody pain in the *** when you get food stuck in them (like many people have said) especially stuff like apples :|

they cut into the side of your mouth like hell when u first get them
and i couldnt chew anything for 1 week
and my mouth was so sore it felt like someone was pulling all my teeth out and i couldnt sleep
my teeth were pretty much straight anyway, except my 2 front teeth over lapped, and he told me i had an overbite; so i had to get 2 teeth out ;\
they're fine now though, getting them out in 5months
apparently im getting elastic bands to pull my teeth back as i have an overbite

I hated wearing that thing after, like a brace but you can take out.
I never wore it:eusa_whis
i just had mine taken out
they ache for like first 2-3 days and whenever they tighten them, but just make sure you brush your teeth teally well twice a day - you cn get a brush with smallbristles designed to get under your braces to get the food that gets stuck in them out, my teeth are very straight now :D

^^ Same, all I did was run my tounge over my teeth for ages, really unusual.
I've got a wire running along the inside of my bottom teeth which is suppose to be permanant..

My brother says they hurt him for a day when they tightened it.
I have a retainer, so i wouldn't really know.
But goodluck nevertheless.
